2. Sam quits his job in Emmerdale spoilers

After stealing the Christmas trees from Home Farm, Sam is beholden to Joe Tate and his demands. Although Joe initially sacked Sam, after Belle talked him round, Joe softened and gave him his job back. He also gave him an advance to help with the electricity problems at Wishing Well and pay for Lydia’s Jason Donovan tickets.

But Sam was then scammed out of the money for the concert and the electricity still isn’t fixed. Coupled with the pressure Joe is now piling on him, Sam is at breaking point.

When Joe pushes things again, Sam snaps. Joe isn’t impressed as Sam stands up to him. But as things descend even further, Sam eventually quits his job.

With money already tight, how will Lydia react to this latest blow to their finances? And will Sam be forced to eat humble pie to Joe again?
