Here’s your answer…

Why is 22 Kids and Counting not on tonight?

Radford fans settling down to catch up with the family will be really gutted to see the show isn’t on tonight.

So far this series, we’ve seen Sue and Noel faced with some tricky challenges involving several of their children. Series 8 began with the couple’s daughter Sophie revealing that her marriage to husband Joe was over.

In a special episode, they also had to negotiate son Josh’s diagnosis with agoraphobia. His brother Max, who is autistic, was also shown struggling with English ahead of his GCSEs.

Sue and Noel were even shown returning home from a holiday in Dubai because daughter Millie’s dog was poorly. There was a £2,000 vet bill that needed paying and she and husband Harley didn’t have the cash…

But there is no more from tonight and a completely different show is in its place.

Channel 5 has swapped 22 Kids and Counting for a new episode of Rich Holiday, Poor Holiday. It’s jumped straight to episode 5 of the most recent series, which sees a wealthy rock musician and his wife swap holidays with two skint best friends.

So where have the Radfords gone?

When contacted by Channel 5, a spokesperson said that the current series has finished.

When will the Radfords be back on?

The last episode of 22 Kids and Counting saw Sue and Noel tracing back their family trees. The children didn’t feature much, while Sue discovered a sad death in her line.

Noel was also shocked to discover a grisly murder in his family tree. Thankfully, it was hundreds of years ago!

This series of 22 Kids and Counting was only five episodes long. Previous runs have been between six and 10 eps.

Feeling short changed? You should be.

There is currently no news on when 22 Kids and Counting will return. In fact, Channel 5 is yet to confirm whether there will even be a series 9 of the popular reality show.

Earlier this week, Millie and her husband Harley announced they’e expecting another baby. So with Sue and Noel to become grandparents once again, there really is no reason to pull the plug now.

The good news is, last year series 6 started in January and series 7 aired six months later in July.

Taking this into account, we’re keeping everything crossed that the Radfords will be back on screen this summer!
