A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episode 3 is almost here, and it could be pivotal for Dunk and Egg – so, make sure you know what time it’s out and catch up with our episode 2 recap.

It’s official: the new Game of Thrones spin-off is a hit. Not only has it been critically acclaimed, but fans (including those most loyal to the books) have embraced it with open arms.

Last week, Ser Duncan the Tall came face-to-face with the most infamous house in all of Westeros: the Targaryens.

However, despite a frosty interaction with Aerion Targaryen, things were looking up for Dunk. Alas, when A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episode 3 drops, everything could change.

Episode 2 recap: What happened?

After Dunk reminisced about Ser Arlan (and his enormous penis), A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms episode 2 followed Dunk as he did everything in his power to enter the lists for the Ashford tourney.

Thankfully, the Targaryens rode into town just in time. After brushing off Aerion’s prejudice, he appealed to Baelor (and Maekar).

Amazingly, Baelor remembered jousting with Ser Arlan and how he unhorsed Damon Lannister, also known as the Grey Lion.

With the caveat that he finds a sigil of his own (he’s not allowed to inherit Ser Arlan’s arms, because he’s not of his blood), he’s allowed to compete.

Later, Dunk tasked local puppeteer and artist Tanselle with designing a new sigil (an elm tree with a shooting star).

Dunk also met Steely Pate, Ashford’s po-faced blacksmith, who gave him a deal on some armour. Sadly, Dunk also had to sell one of his horses to afford it.

In the closing scene, Dunk lamented how nobody seems to remember Ser Arlan. “On the ‘morrow, we will show them what his hand has wrought,” he promised.
