Alex Scott's girlfriend Jess Glynne calls her 'brave' for speaking about her sexuality on I'm A Celebrity

The singer, 36, has shared her thoughts after 41-year-old Alex’s honest admission during last night’s show.
Alex, a former Lioness, admitted she had dated men before but prefers the “emotional connection” she has with women. She also revealed the first time she realised she was attracted to a female.
Jess has now responded to Alex’s comments and says she is “really proud” of her girlfriend.

Taking to Instagram, Jess – who is famed for hits including Hold My Hand and I’ll Be There – shared a picture of Alex sat with her campmates. She said of her girlfriend: “You know what, I’m really proud of my woman.”
Jess continued: “These conversations are not easy for her to speak so openly about. Firstly to people she’s just met but also to the nation on TV. It’s brave and it’s real special to see.”
She added: “I love you, Alex and I wish I could tell you to your face. Never be afraid to be you!”
Alex opened up during last night’s show while speaking to Ruby Wax, Kelly Brook, Shona McGarty and Lisa Riley. The women were talking about weight loss, menopause and bedroom antics.
The sports pundit said: “Girls, I’ve got to be honest. It’s completely different with women. For me, it’s always been about a deep, emotional connection. I had relationship with men throughout my life but there was always something missing with me.”
Alex said her first dalliance with a woman was when she was 17, but that she would always return to men: “I can be attracted to men still but, literally, that connection would just wear off on me,” she explained.
Alex later spoke about the chat she’d had with the girls in camp. She remarked on the “special bond” the women are forming.
Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Alex said: “I think this whole experience, being in this little confined space and all surviving together, it’s such a unique and special experience.
“You have no doubt that there’s going to be a bond – not just in here but afterwards.”

Jess is set to meet Alex on the bridge when she finally leaves I’m A Celebrity. There is also widespread speculation that she will be proposing to her when they are reunited.
The couple first went public with their relationship in 2023 and Alex said earlier this week that she would like to marry Jess – who she calls Jessica.
The admission came as Alex spoke about how she had met Jess in a posh nightclub in London. Ruby then asked: “Do you think you’ll ever get married?” Alex replied: “I will get married to her, I’m just waiting for her to ask, Rubes!”
Jess has since responded to Alex’s comments and told her Instagram followers that she had “better go get a ring”.
I’m A Celebrity fans are now desperately hoping that Jess will get down on one knee and propose to Alex on the bridge. Wouldn’t we just love to see that? Come on, Jess, do it!
