Simon Cowell recognised a familiar face on Britain’s Got Talent tonight, as America’s Got Talent: Extreme winner Alfredo Silva auditioned for the BGT crown.

Alfredo and his wife Coral were on tonight’s show (March 7) to show off their knife-throwing act. However, before they got down to business, Simon told his fellow judges that he knew Alfredo, and that he was “brilliant”.

When did Britain’s Got Talent star Alfredo Silva appear on America’s Got Talent: Extreme?

Alfredo didn’t just appear on AMG, he won America’s Got Talent: Extreme with his Cage Riders act back in 2022.

As a result, Alfredo and the gang rode off with the $500k prize.

However, for BGT 2026, Alfredo paired up with wife Coral. Together, they performed their knife-throwing act. And, if you thought Alfredo throwing knives at his wife was edgy, he soon upped the stakes by aiming a crossbow at a balloon she had dangling from her mouth, all while swinging suspended in the air.

Unsurprisingly, the act got four yeses.

Also unsurprisingly, complaints poured in on the hashtag, especially after viewers were given a “don’t try this at home” warning by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

“Oh that’s it. All the do-gooders gonna complain. Too dangerous they will say,” said one. And they weren’t wrong…

‘Don’t try this at home!’

One viewer commented: “That’s right – let’s encourage more knife crime in the UK.” “Don’t like this act, especially in these times we’re living in,” said a second. A third went even further: “The producers need sacking – glorifying the use of knives is disgusting!”

Another commented: “I bet there’s gonna be some complaints to OFCOM about this.”  A fifth added: “Not entertaining at all to me. Dangerous and stressful. No thanks.” “Isn’t that crossbow an illegal weapon? Surely it is??” another asked.

“Everyone says don’t carry knives, then this gets shown on prime-time television! Clueless producers,” another said.

However, other viewers credited those watching at home with a little more sense…

“Who’s going to start throwing the sharpest knives at their wife or husband?! Lol!” one posted. “Don’t try this at home! Families and pets everywhere breathing a big sigh of relief,” another joked.
