Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win contestants are banned from showing their tattoos on screen, one former player has exclusively revealed.

Sarah Woodward appeared on the ITV game show with her sister Amy in the hope of winning a big cash prize.

The siblings managed to build up a healthy bank balance during their stint but sadly ended up missing out on £30,000.

Sarah has now spoken exclusively to TV Guide, in collaboration with Slots Temple, about her time on Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win.

And, after the Geordie duo wrapped another series, she’s spilled the beans on the strange tattoo ban contestants are put under.

Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win: Tattoo ban

Sarah and Amy appeared on Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win four years ago.

The ladies ended up being picked for the ITV show after Sarah secretly applied without Amy knowing. She then had to break the news to her that they’d been chosen to take part.

Amy jumped at the opportunity, however, and they appeared on screen together in January 2022.

But looking back on their experience, Sarah tells us about how production staff told her what to wear so her tattoos didn’t show.

The 39-year-old has intricate designs of flowers, including roses, and butterflies down both of her arms but she couldn’t expose them.

Sarah says: “They wanted all of my tattoos covered up, regardless. That ended up changing the way I dressed.

“I don’t mind having my tattoos out, that’s why I got them. But I had to wear long sleeves, and there were certain patterns or colours that would clash.”

Sarah, who has pink hair, ended up dressed in a dark blue top with long-sleeves and a high round neck. Looking back, she admits she regrets accepting the outfit that was picked out for her.

“The only thing I’d do differently is be more forthcoming about what I actually wanted to wear, rather than just going with what they thought I should,” Sarah says.

“It was my only negative about the whole experience.”

Why are tattoos banned on Limitless Win?

Sarah and Amy ended up missing out on £30,000 after incorrectly answering a question about the Canadian national flag.

They were asked how many points were on the red maple leaf. The correct answer is 11, but the sisters failed to pick the exact number.

Sarah and Amy’s was only the third episode of Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win to ever be filmed. As a result, Sarah admits: “I don’t think we properly understood how the whole thing worked.

“I’m 100 percent sure that if we’d been on the second or third series, we would have done things a little differently, because we’d have understood the premise of the game much better.”

But the main question on all of our lips is whether Sarah discovered the reason why tattoos are banned.

And the good news is, she did!

She reveals: “The production team told me the reason they are like that with tattoos on the show.

“It is because they once filmed a full TV series, and when they were editing it towards the end, they realised that one of the main people had a very offensive tattoo. They had to scrap the whole thing!”

Makes sense, now!
