As Betsy starts to walk again, Coronation Street spoilers reveal another health setback is coming
Betsy has been avoiding her friendsCoronation Street has aired a promising update on Betsy Swain’s stroke recovery – but spoilers confirm things take a turn for the worse next week.
For the last lot of weeks Betsy has been recovering from a stroke, which was brought on by consensual strangulation during sex with her boyfriend, Dylan. The storyline was to highlight the dangers that young people probably don’t know much about.
So, as Betsy made huge progress tonight after weeks of turmoil and setbacks, things are going to take another turn, leaving Betsy fearing for her health once again.

Betsy began walking in Coronation Street
In tonight’s episode (September 2), Betsy was with her physiotherapist once again to improve her mobility. And as Lisa watched, they were all overcome with happiness as she managed to take a few steps on her own.
The victory continued when Carla got back just in time to see her step-daughter achieve a so much progress. Betsy has spent the last few weeks refusing to go outside, and has tried to avoid as many people as possible.
So, Lauren decided it was time for her best friend to see more people, and so she brought Ollie round with some desserts to try to keep Betsy happy.
However, Betsy doesn’t really know Ollie that well, so he wouldn’t be someone she wants to see her after the stroke. And she made no secret of this when she and Lauren were alone.
Just like that, the pair weren’t getting along once again – and Betsy’s happiness over her walking had been washed away.
However, things are meant to take another turn for the worse.

Spoilers confirm another health scare is on the way
Coronation Street spoilers for next week however confirm that Betsy will face another health scare. And it’s so severe that she even worries that she may be having another stroke.
Finally deciding to start focusing on her future Carla happily agrees to help Betsy with her application for a fashion course at the local college.
Lisa is delighted to see Betsy so energised and looking towards something for the first time in ages. But events take a turn when Bethany arrives to give Betsy a manicure.
Betsy ends up in agony, as she clutches her head in pain, leaving her fearing it’s another stroke. Is it happening again just as she is starting to look to the future? If not, what is wrong?
