We have believed that Jimmy and Nicola were a gorgeous, happily married family. They were such a cemented iconic Emmerdale couple. And now, we’re all wondering if that was really the case.
Jimmy’s ex-wife Sadie King made her return to the village tonight. And she didn’t take long to reveal she and Jimmy had been together for three years.
Sadie King’s shocking bombshell
We were promised huge shocks alongside Sadie’s return, and that is exactly what we got.
Sadie landed in her helicopter, shocking everyone by her arrival. But things just got even worse when she revealed she and Jimmy had been in a relationship for years.
Nicola was devastated to learn that Jimmy was essentially living with Sadie, and had even told her they weren’t together anymore. But while she refused to believe it, it was clear part of her was truly questioning her husband.
Everyone was shocked to hear Sadie call Jimmy the “love of my life” and was adamant that he “loved” her. But when she began telling Nicola about the luxury hotel Jimmy had booked, things began looking bad.
However, while fans are struggling to work out Sadie’s true motive, one thing most of them believe – is that she was not in a relationship with Jimmy.

Taking to social media after the episode, many fans shared their thoughts on Sadie’s shocking bombshell. And instead of Jimmy and Sadie having a relationship, many fans actually believe she is sick and that is messing with her reality.
One fan penned: “Is Sadie ill? Or delusional? And that’s why she’s saying all this stuff about Jimmy.”
Another added: “Surely Sadie has some form of illness or amnesia? The way the camera and noise changed before she walked out. And how she didn’t even recognise Robert. I don’t believe her about Jimmy.”
Over on Reddit, fans also believed she could be hiding an illness. One commented: “I’m not sure what illness, but could Sadie be sick? And Jimmy’s death has just triggered an episode of some kind?”
However, some other fans don’t believe Sadie is ill. Instead, they think she knows exactly what she’s doing and is trying to get her hands on any money Jimmy had left.
One penned: “I feel like Sadie and Jimmy weren’t actually having an affair. She’s just trying to see if she can use that as a way to get her hands on anything he had that she might want.”
Another wrote: “I swear this better not be true. That would completely ruin Jimmy’s death. She is Sadie King after all, so she could be lying for the money.”
“I’m not sure I like the way this Jimmy and Sadie thing is going. If she’s lying for his money then great. But after all this time, Jimmy and Nicola were such a stable couple for so many years. To do this to them after his death is disgusting” a third annoyed fan penned.
