Jimmy was not solely responsible for the crashEmmerdale has revealed that Jimmy King swerving off the road into the wedding marquee was not his fault and has given a huge hint over who really was responsible for the crash.
*WARNING: Emmerdale spoilers for the episode airing on Friday August 28 follow in the article below, which has not aired on ITV yet, but is already available on ITVX and YouTube.

Jimmy King dead in Emmerdale
It’s been a big week in the Dales as Joe prepared to marry Dawn, she prepared to jilt him, and Jimmy prepared a romantic picnic for Nicola.
Dawn then realised she had been tricked by Billy, Caleb and Ruby and rushed back to the village to beg Joe to forgive her and marry her. But just as she made her emotional plea, Jimmy King came crashing into the marquee sending debris everywhere and Joe and Dawn flying.
Nicola was riding past the site of the crash on her way to meet Jimmy and rushed to help. When she realised Jimmy was in there, she went to find him and saw he was in a bad way.
The couple shared emotional scenes as they dreamt of renewing their vows before Jimmy slipped away and died.
Nicola and Dawn were then forced to flee the tent after petrol started dripping. It exploded with Joe Tate inside.

Did Joe Tate survive?
After the huge explosion, emergency services arrived, but Joe was pulled out of the wreckage by Graham Foster. We won’t spoil it for those wanting to watch tonight as to whether he lives or dies.
Dawn also seems to be okay for now – she was taken to hospital, where she went into early labour. Will she and the baby be okay?

Who caused the crash in Emmerdale?
When Jimmy swerved off the road, it wasn’t immediately clear why he had done so.
So what caused it?
Well, in the ITVX early release episode today (Friday August 28) DS Thea Ramsden is on the scene investigating. She is informed by an officer that a second set of tyre tracks has been found.
Kim Tate is there and insists if someone else was involved, they’ve got a lot to answer for and Thea needs to find them.
And at that moment the camera panned in on an emotional and guilty-looking Gabby, who was watching from a distance. That seems like a great big signpost that she was driving the other car if ever we saw one.
So is Gabby responsible? Will she confess? Or is this another red herring and there is someone else in the frame too?
