'I am in tears!' Britain's Got Talent viewers 'emotional' as KSI presses golden buzzer for 'incredible' act
Viewers were thrilled at the resultBritain’s Got Talent viewers were left “crying” at their screens tonight (February 28) as KSI pressed his golden buzzer for an “amazing” act.
While last week was the just the start of the 2026 auditions, viewers very quickly had a lot of complaints. And tonight was no different.
However, despite some negativity, tonight’s episode also included a beautiful moment when new full-time judge KSI hit his golden buzzer for 16-year-old Rafferty Coope.

KSI gives golden buzzer
The schoolboy merged magic with music and left everyone absolutely speechless. During his performance, he gave KSI some cards, and then he started playing the piano.
But in a twist, he was playing Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing. And when KSI turned the cards he chose around, they shockingly read “Believe” – which Rafferty wanted his message to be.
The judges were all emotional and impressed. And even later, were trying to work out exactly how he had done it. But none were as impressed as KSI, who just joined full-time this year.
Complimenting his performance, KSI said: “That was incredible, man. That was just so so good.”
Amanda agreed: “What a lovely boy. We could see how much it meant to you. How much it all meant to you. We have never had anything just like that. So, well done. Really well done.

Alesha Dixon went on to agree: “Honestly, you are 16 years old, and you are a bright light.” But she was cut short as KSI decided Rafferty was so good that he deserved to go straight to the live shows. And in the beautiful moment, the young boy broke down in tears, while all the judges hugged KSI, who quickly headed to the stage to compliment him in person.

Britain’s Got Talent viewers left ‘crying’
And it appears the judges weren’t the only ones who were absolutely obsessed with the performance, as Britain’s Got Talent viewers all took to X to share their own thoughts.
One said: “Why am I sobbing at the young lad who just won the golden buzzer on BGT?”
Another commented: “Who is chopping onions? That boy’s reaction to doing so well has had me bawling. So deserved.”
“Crying at that golden buzzer. How incredible!” a third penned.
A fourth praised KSI: “Yes KSI. Golden buzzer well deserved Rafferty!”
However, a few others felt while he was good, he didn’t deserve to get the ticket to the semi-final.
One added: “A golden buzzer for that? Are you [bleep]ing serious?”
Another penned: “If that’s golden buzzer worthy then this is going to be a long, painful series.”
