Celebrity Apprentice Matt Morsia: Is Gladiators' Legend married and does he have kids?

Matt is better known to Gladiators fans as Legend and, boy, he really plays up to the name!
Tonight, Matt and his 11 fellow candidates are fly to Lapland thanks to Lord Alan Sugar for the Celebrity Apprentice Christmas Special.
But will his arrogant Gladiators persona impress Lord Alan Sugar, or lead to him being fired?!
Here, we take a look at who Matt really is and whether he is married with children.
Celebrity Apprentice: Who is Matt Morsia?
Matt Morsia is 39 years old and he has starred as Gladiators’ Legend since the iconic 90s show’s reboot in 2023.
Legend is a Marmite character – both adored and loathed by fans of the BBC show. To say he is confident and full of himself in the Gladiators arena would be an understatement!
After most events, Legend is quick to take the mic from hosts Bradley and Barney Walsh and tell the crowd just how well he has performed. Even if he does badly, he will turn it around and always has an excuse!
In real life, Matt is a bodybuilder and YouTuber. He is a former long jump and triple jump athlete. Matt became a powerlifter in 2012 and won a silver medal at the 2016 European Championships.
Matt later worked as a PE teacher at Folkestone Academy in Kent. These days, Matt owns his own Training and Nutrition app called Morsia. He claims to have already helped 250,000 people “transform their bodies” with his business.
Is Matt – aka Legend – married?
Matt is married. His wife is called Sarah and, in the summer, they celebrated 13 years of marriage together.
Sarah works as Managing Director for Matt’s business, Morsia. She is also a food, fitness and travel influencer and has an impressive 98,000 followers on Instagram.
Earlier this month, Matt revealed the secret to his happy marriage during an appearance on ITV1’s Loose Women.
He said: “We were friends when we were 14, so we’ve been together for 25 years. We are very close. It’s a balance.
“The key things are having your own interests. What you don’t want is someone being reliant on the other person to do stuff.”

Does Matt Morsia have children?
Matt and Sarah have two children together. They have two sons called Luca, nine, and Mauro, four.
Both boys are mad keen on Gladiators and Luca even got his very own Pugil stick for Christmas this year! Matt also told Loose Women: “They’re four and nine. Nine is prime Gladiators age.”
Luca and Mauro clearly look up to their dad and want to be just like him. Matt regularly posts snaps of his sons on Instagram as they show off their ‘muscly’ bare chests alongside him. Cute!
Legend in Celebrity Apprentice
You can catch Matt in The Celebrity Apprentice tonight (Monday December 29, 2025) on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. But although he is taking part as himself, Legend definitely slips out during the show!
The celebs are split into teams in the two-part special and tasked with making Christmas biscuits. Sales of the biccies will raise money for Children in Need.
In one preview clip, Matt tells his fellow team mates that he “knows” he will make a great Project Manager. He says: “I’ve built two multi-million pound companies from scratch with zero investment, right.
“I also own a third company, which I pitched to retailers and high street supermarkets in the food and beverage sectors. This is exactly what we’re going to be doing.
“So we want a PM, right? I am literally PM of the Gladiators. I’ve been carrying that show for two years. So if you’re looking for a PM…”
Actress Sarah Hadland tells Matt: “What I love about you is the honesty and humbleness that you bring.” LOL.
