Celebrity MasterChef 2026's Tom Simons leaves BBC show after Giorgio Locatelli brutally brands his chilli con carne 'dog food'
Giorgio strikes againCelebrity MasterChef‘s Tom Simons is the latest contestant to leave the BBC show after Giorgio Locatelli slammed his plate of chilli con carne as being “dog food”.
YouTuber Tom – aka TommyInnit – was really chuffed with his Mystery Box dish in Wednesday evening’s show.
The contestants had been surprised with a selection of spices and chillies to make a dish with punch.
They were told by judge and world-renowned chef Giorgio: “The chilli and the spice must be the star element.”
After a trip to the Celebrity MasterChef market, Tom picked up minced beef, bell peppers and tinned tomatoes.
“I’m going to do a rich chilli with lots of peppers and spice. You’re going to eat it all and go, ‘Oooooh’,” the content creator declared.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the reaction he got from Giorgio or fellow judge, Grace Dent.

Tom looked a bit exhausted while walking around the Market to pick his ingredients. He sighed to Giorgio: “It’s like school, isn’t it.”
But he was in brighter spirits by the time he got going. Tom told the judges about his plans for his chilli con carne.
“I’m going to plate the rice it a beautiful way. It’s going to make you scream your face off,” he added.
Tom threw mustard seeds in, before accidentally dropping a huge pile of paprika on top of his mince.
Once the time was up, he proudly presented it to Grace and Giorgio. But his smile quickly turned into a frown.
Grace said: “When you were cooking the beef, you haven’t separated it out. You can see it’s in lumps.”
Looking at it, Giorgio added: “It’s a bit like dog food, yeah?” Tom gasped, as Giorgio asked Grace: “Maybe dog food is a bit too harsh?”
Tom replied: “It is harsh. He would be a very lucky dog to get that, come on?”
But Giorgio told him: “Well let’s taste it first.”
The judges stuck their forks in and gave it a try. Grace was unable to disguise the fact she was finding it chewy. Giorgio almost choked on the chilli spices and complained about a lack of salt.
Defeated, Tom said as he walked away: “That was a rollercoaster, because once again I really thought I had it. Dog food? A dog food concoction? That was harsh.”

Unfortunately, Tom’s day just went from bad to worse. Zoe Ball made a surprise visit to the Celebrity MasterChef kitchen for the Who’s Coming for Dinner? challenge.
She asked the competitors to make their best pudding.
Tom opted for waffles with bananas and chocolate sauce, with vanilla ice cream. However, the waffles he produced were so thin that he had to make it into a sandwich.
“Could you not have cleaned the plate up?”Grace asked him. Giorgio added: “To me it looks like you don’t care!”
It was all too much and, in no shock to anyone, Tom was sent home.
Speaking after being shown the door, Tom said: “They exiled me. I’m done and dusted, which is a shame because I was having a really good time.
“But ultimately, I lacked in skill.”
This means the Heat 2 quarter finalists are Donna Preston, Emily ‘ Dynamite’ Steel, Nitin Ganatra and Eric Underwood.
