There has been a lot of talk about the huge wedding week in Emmerdale, where someone dies. But up until now, we haven’t really had much information on it.
However, tonight’s episode (August 26) confirmed three lives are on the line as Jimmy King’s car plunged right into the marquee – while Dawn and Joe were inside.
Three lives at risk in Emmerdale
Dawn’s plan to escape with Billy and the kids was quickly halted when she realised that he hadn’t been honest with her. Cornering him into telling the truth, Dawn was horrified to realise she had sacrificed her entire relationship with Joe for a lie.
Billy told her that going back wouldn’t matter, as Joe knew the truth now. But that didn’t stop her. Dawn decided to head back to her wedding, desperate to get Joe to forgive her.
When she appeared, Joe was hurt and deeply shocked by the whole situation. But Dawn was eager to continue with the wedding.
Neither of them could’ve predicted what would happen next – as Jimmy’s car came driving through the marquee, knocking Joe and Dawn down with it.
All three of them are now trapped and in danger of dying. We know that someone dies in Emmerdale. It has been teased for a while that not everyone will make it out of wedding week alive. So the only big question we have – is whose time is up?

While fans have to stay tuned to actually see who dies in Emmerdale, they are all stunned after the episode. Nobody saw the huge twist coming – and everyone is shocked.
Taking to social media, fans shared just how impressed and gobsmacked they were after watching.
One penned: “The ending of tonight’s Emmerdale. [bleep]. I just screamed. What an episode!”
Another added: “That cliffhanger was insane. How can we wait until tomorrow? I wasn’t expecting Jimmy to be involved at all in the wedding week.”

A shocked fan wrote: “This episode ending is something else. I honestly didn’t see that coming, I initially thought it was Billy driving! And Graham’s reaction on the call got me so emotional!”
Tragedy is around the corner
While we now know three lives that are on the line after the shock, nobody knows exactly who dies in Emmerdale just yet.
For months there have been reports that Dawn actress Olivia Bromley and Jimmy star Nick Miles were both leaving the show in shocking scenes – so could these reports be true and this is their exit?
Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw previously confirmed that there would definitely be a death this week. She explained: “The run-up to Dawn and Joe’s wedding will be far from straightforward but the week of the wedding is even more dramatic!
“The day will end in tragedy with the consequences having ramifications that will impact the villagers’ lives for years to come.”
Some fans recently noticed a few clues that suggested Jimmy’s time was nearly up. And following the dramatic trailer for this week, many thought Dawn survived and actually lost either Billy or Joe.
