‘It’s going to be war!’ Emmerdale star Will Ash teases Joe Tate fallout after Caleb’s latest move

Things are going to get explosive

Emmerdale star Will Ash, who plays the iconic Caleb Miligan has teased a “war” between his character and Joe Tate, if the truth about Billy’s attack ever comes to light.

Viewers have just discovered that Kev was the one who attacked Billy. Caleb had CCTV footage of the whole thing, and decided everyone would be better off believing it was Joe. So, he made it his mission to convince Billy of that.

While Chris Coghill has teased what’s next for Kev in this situation, Caleb actor Will Ash spoke to Emmerdale Insider and other press at a recent event about what could happen between Joe and Caleb. And it’s explosive.

Joe and Caleb’s Emmerdale feud is far from over

When asked how he thinks the meddling into Joe’s life is going to go once it’s discovered, Will revealed he expects things to fully blow-up between the pair.

He explained: “I think it will end up being a war again. But I think Caleb’s well up for it, and he’s kind of prepared for that. He knows the kind of fallout from what he’s doing. I think he’s totally up for it and ready. I don’t think he would ever back down to him.”

Will admitted Caleb also deep down still wants his hands on a bit of Home Farm for himself.

“That’s always there for him. It’s a real thorn on his side. He feels like he’s owed part of that house, or a big chunk of it. That’s what he asked for last time when he got the land instead. He’d love to see Kim out on her backside as well.”

As for how “bad” Caleb could get, Will does think there is a limit. He said: “He will think of the consequences and how much he can get away with. So, if it came to killing him, I don’t think he could kill him and get away with that. But, he’ll push it as far as he possibly can.”

Where does the hatred stem from?

Joe’s not one for letting things go, so this potential “war” seems highly likely – especially as Joe and Dawn’s wedding day is set to end with some tragedy.

But where does it all stem from? Well, viewers will remember when Joe Tate arrived back in the village a few years ago, he needed a new kidney. And instead of going through normal procedures, he ultimately stole one from his uncle Caleb. So, it’s not really that surprising that Caleb has never forgiven him for everything.

Will explained that despite the fact they made a “truce” for a while, Joe’s previous actions will always stay with Caleb.

He added: “Now, Joe is getting involved with Caleb’s counterfeiting stuff, and he has had to put a stop to it. It’s really frustrating for Caleb. So, then all the kidney stuff comes back and he realises he can’t kill him, but he can ruin his life.”

With an exciting few weeks ahead, this teaser from Will Ash definitely makes it sound like Joe and Caleb are going to have some more problems for quite some time.
