Celebrity Traitors viewers brand James Acaster 'embarrassing' as they tell Maya and Kenny to 'throw him to the wolves'
James refused to help his fellow Traitors in the latest missionCelebrity Traitors star James Acaster should be “thrown to the wolves”, according to viewers.
The Traitor has come under fire after he was seen bailing in the latest mission in Ardross Castle.
Last night, Traitors James, Maya Jama and King Kenny were set a really tricky task in a bid to add to the prize pot.
While the Faithful were blindfolded, they had to sneak around them without making a sound.
But James point blank refused to take part – and he’s been branded “embarrassing” as a result.
James Acaster refuses to take part in Celebrity Traitors mission
The celebrities were led into a darkened room in the castle for the latest mission.
Pieces of broken up shields had been placed in large troughs in the middle of the room. The celebrities had to grab the pieces and try and build their own individual shields. If successful, they would receive a genuine shield to protect them from murder.
But every minute or so, a bell would sound and everyone had to put on a blindfold. The Traitors then had to sneak around and steal pieces from Faithfuls’ shields to build their own one.
If successful, £9,000 would be added to the prize pot.
This same sequence happened multiple times throughout the mission – but every single time, James refused to take part. He repeatedly signalled to Maya and Kenny that he couldn’t help because he was “too scared”.
But Celebrity Traitors fans are absolutely fuming with him.
Celebrity Traitors fans urge Traitors to ‘throw James Acaster to the wolves’
Writing on X, viewers were quick to share their views on James’ decision to chicken out of the mission.
One raged: “James Acaster best not make it to the final – not a team player and just useless. Maya and Kenny should just throw him to the wolves.”
Another added: “James’ refusal to take part in the mission was embarrassing.”
A third agreed: “James needs to go, refusing to play is so poor.”
And a fourth wrote: “I truly think Maya and Kenny need to set James up and then just stick together once he’s banished.”
Someone else chimed in: “James Acaster should put himself out of misery and just banish himself – like you’re not even helping out your fellow traitors what is ur purpose?”
However, a few have defended the actor.
“James didn’t need to join in on that mission. News flash folks, the traitors were told THEY COULD do it not they MUST! None of them needed to do it. They chose to! James was so smart to not move!” one of his fans said.
And another supported added: “Completely logical of James not to partake when he’s got two of the most switched-on people either side of him, while Maya and Kenny are next to each other and a 70 year old who was always half a day behind everyone else.
“I wish he’d stressed this in the turret.”
