Celebrity Traitors' Ruth Codd blames her 'big fat mouth' for her exit on the BBC show
The actress feels she could have played the game betterThe Celebrity Traitors‘ Ruth Codd believes her “big fat mouth” is the reason for her murder on the show.
Ruth, 29, was killed off last week by Traitors Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Cat Burns.
In a new interview, the Netflix actress has now pinned the blame on her own actions for her exit.
Speaking to the BBC, Ruth hints that she wishes she had not pointed the finger at Jonathan, 64, for being a Traitor at the Round Table, as it ultimately led to her demise.
Ruth said: “I think the moment where it all went wrong for me was when I opened my big fat mouth. When I ran my massive mouth at the Round Table. I couldn’t help myself.”
Celebrity Traitors: What did Ruth Codd say to Jonathan Ross?
The clip, which has been shared on the BBC’s Instagram page, then shows Ruth speaking to Jonathan last week. She said to him at the Round Table: “Well I actually have two bones to pick with you, Jonathan. I’m going to light the firework.
“One of the first things you did was make an alliance with Niko and me and Clare in the car. You said it. I just felt like you blindsided Niko. That’s how I feel about it personally.”
She added: “My vote is for Jonathan. I think your behaviour is extremely indicative of a game player.”
TVGuide has since proved Jonathan was NOT in an alliance with Ruth and Niko, before banishing him.
Now out of the show’s Ardross Castle in Scotland, Ruth continued to reflect: “Apparently my sense of injustice took over completely. I always said I’m terrible at games and puzzles so… whoops.”
Who has left The Celebrity Traitors?
The Celebrity Traitors started with 19 famous contestants. Gradually, thanks to a series of murders and banishments, the number is dwindling.
Paloma Faith was the first to leave after Alan brutally murdered her, despite her being his friend. Next to go was Niko Omilana. He was banished despite being a Faithful.
Olympic diver Tom Daley was next on the Traitors’ murderous hit list, while EastEnders actress Tameka Empson was the second banished contestant. Ruth’s murder followed, before sports broadcaster and fellow Faithful, Clare Balding, was banished.
Those gone currently total at three murders and three banishments. It also leaves 13 contestants still in the game, with Jonathan, Alan and Cat still going undetected as the Traitors.
