Celebrity Traitors fans were left shocked after Olympian Tom Daley was the second to be murdered.

During Wednesday night’s (October 15) show, Niko became the first celebrity to be banished from the round table.

However, the episode took another turn when the three Traitors — Cat Burns, Alan Carr and Jonathan Ross — immediately murdered Tom Daley just moments later that same evening.

After being murdered, Tom said: ‘Oh dear. Well that didn’t take very long, did it? I am gutted to be leaving the game. I think I was murdered because people see me as a threat.”

Celebrity Traitors star Tom Daley murdered

Tom, who was a fan-favourite among some viewers, became the second contestant to be murdered following singer Paloma Faith last week.

Viewers immediately reacted, and many aren’t happy with the decision.

“Gone but never forgotten,” one user wrote on X, adding the heartbroken emoji.

“No way did they murder Tom,” another person shared.

“Going to miss Tom,” a third remarked.

With Paloma and Tom gone, that’s two of the most interesting players out already,” a fourth said.

Gone too soon Tom. I thought he or Stephen would go next. Both too smart for their own good. No more shower shots. Shame,” a fifth person expressed.

‘Thank god he’s gone’

However, many didn’t agree.

“Tom was a very clever choice to get rid off. Better to get the strong ones out the way and leave the weak ones like David and Kate in,” one said.

Tom Daley gone 15 minutes into the episode, get in!” another stated.

“Thank god he’s gone,” a third insisted.

Tom Daley ‘wanted to win’ Celebrity Traitors

Before appearing on the show, Tom revealed he was eager to win Celebrity Traitors.

“I want to win. That’s the whole point of the game. I’m there to have fun, but at the same time I want to do well,” he said.

“I’m spending this time away from my family so I’m fully putting myself into it and I want to do them proud.”

Speaking to The Celebrity Traitors Uncloaked after being murdered, Tom said: “It feels painful to be murdered. I went in there wanting to be a Traitor. Mainly because I like control, and that would have been a good opportunity to control it.

“As a faithful, my whole game plan was to fly under the radar but then I couldn’t keep my mouth shut.”
