Charity can't keep the baby in Emmerdale, new poll reveals
Will Sarah and Ross believe her lies?Charity Dingle is facing the consequences of her lies in Emmerdale as she grapples with whether or not to tell the truth about the baby she is carrying. She is supposed to be a surrogate for granddaughter Sarah, but is instead pregnant with Ross Barton’s baby.
As she desperately tries to keep things under wraps – going to extreme lengths to do so – Emmerdale fans don’t think this lie is the right way to go. But they don’t think honesty is the best policy either.
So what should Charity do next?

Poll reveals what Charity’s next move should be in Emmerdale
In a poll run by Emmerdale Insider, 34 per cent of voters said they believe Charity should have a termination, calling it her ‘only option’ given the circumstances. Meanwhile, 30 per cent sided with Chas, suggesting that the truth ‘will come out eventually’ and that Charity should be honest now rather than keeping secrets.
The idea of Charity keeping the baby and raising it alongside Ross and their son Moses proved popular with 19 per cent of respondents, while a smaller group — 15 per cent — supported her plan to give the baby to Sarah and say nothing.
The results reflect the strong emotions this storyline has stirred, with fans divided over what outcome they’d like to see.

Charity is carrying Ross’ baby in Emmerdale
Sarah Sugden thinks Charity is acting as a surrogate for her and Jacob Gallagher. But actually Charity got drunk and slept with Ross Barton around the same time she was implanted with Sarah’s egg. And Charity now has the results confirming Ross is the dad.
At first Charity booked an abortion and confided in Chas. But Chas insisted getting rid of the baby was not the answer. She said Charity had to tell the truth.
Charity couldn’t go through with the termination, but still isn’t being honest. She knows it would lose her husband Mack as well as detroy her relationship with Sarah by taking away her baby dream.
So now she has decided to pretend the baby is Sarah’s. She faked some paternity test results to give to Ross and he believes them, just happy he’s not set to become a dad again.
Chas, however, isn’t letting it drop and thinks Charity should tell the truth. Sarah is suspicious of why they are rowing and vowed to get to the bottom of it. Which can only lead to trouble.

Truth or lies?
At the moment, Charity is adamant she will keep on lying. But will Chas agree to lie with her?
Ross is off her case for now, Sarah is suspicious, but really non-the-wise, so can Charity pull this off?
Well, she probably can. That is until the baby needs some sort of medical procedure and blood tests reveal whose baby it really is! But will we have to wait that long? Or will the truth come out way before then?
