Coronation Street spoilers have confirmed that Dylan Wilson will be arrested for causing Betsy Swain’s strokes.
Tonight on the cobbles (Wednesday, July 15), teenager Betsy suffered multiple strokes after falling unconscious in the kitchen.
After multiple scans, it was then revealed that boyfriend Dylan had unknowingly caused Betsy’s condition.
Betsy’s sex strangulation storyline in Coronation Street
Tonight, Ryan found Betsy collapsed at home and immediately called for an ambulance, with the teenager rushed to hospital for an MRI scan and further tests.
Doctors confirmed Betsy had suffered a stroke, and after she began slurring her words, she admitted to Lisa that she was scared. While Dylan was spending time alone with her, Betsy then suffered a second stroke, prompting doctors to carry out more tests.
The doctor later told Betsy there had been a strain on an artery in her neck and asked if anyone had applied pressure to it. After thinking back, Betsy revealed Dylan had lightly choked her during consensual sex, insisting he had no idea it could be dangerous and saying she thought ‘everyone did it.’
Lisa was horrified, explaining the act had caused a blood clot to form. Although Betsy defended Dylan, Lisa blamed him. When he returned to the hospital, she angrily confronted him, leaving Dylan devastated by the revelation.

In Coronation Street spoilers for the coming weeks, Betsy pleads with Lisa not to blame Dylan for what happened, insisting he never meant to hurt her. But Lisa refuses to let it go, and tensions soon reach breaking point. When Sean suggests he and Dylan visit Betsy in hospital, Dylan declines, leaving Sean wondering what’s really going on.
Lisa later confronts Dylan in the café, accusing him of causing Betsy’s collapse before heading straight to the police station to report a crime. Dylan is left reeling when Lauren tells him Betsy is seriously ill and doesn’t want to see him. Sean is then stunned to discover Dylan has been arrested, unaware Lisa has made a complaint.
At the hospital, Betsy is horrified to learn her mum has gone to the police. Brody also lays into Dylan for spreading rumours, while Ryan forces Dylan to face the consequences of his actions. Finally accepting responsibility, Dylan visits Betsy and apologises for the pain he has caused. But when officers arrive to take Betsy’s statement, he panics and disappears.
Later on, Lauren offers Betsy much-needed support, helping her through an emotional and embarrassing physio session.

Heading to the station, Kit then rummaged through the files and was sent packing by his colleague. He was told that an arrest was soon going to be made.
Back at home, Kit told Sarah that they had nothing on her so she shouldn't worry. But, should she?
