The Platts were excited to be bring baby Harper home from the hospital today. They gathered the family together at home to welcome the little one.

Things seemed to be going well until Jodie turned up and turned the atmosphere icy. She explained that she was sorry about attacking Sarah. She’d gone to the police and had confessed and had been let out on bail until the trial. She now needed somewhere to stay, asking Shona if she could stay at their house.

Shona eventually discussed things with David after the gathering had fizzled out. She reminded him that – despite everything – Jodie was still her sister.

But, Lily wasn’t happy with the news. She confronted Jodie over the gun she’d found in her trinket box when looking for her games console.

Jodie told Lily that it was a fake gun and didn’t work, but Lily felt so worried about the gun being in the house that she told David about it.

Idris supported Sam

Poor Sam was disheartened when he'd asked to hold Harper but wasn't allowed to. David thought it wasn't wise given Sam's recent stay in the mental health unit.

Outside, Idris spotted Sam sitting outside alone and gave him some advice on how to continue with his life and focus his mind. And, the conversation seemed to give Sam some hope.

Cassie's plan backfired

Cassie told Steve that she'd posted a photo of Ross on a website where exes could review their ex-partners. A woman had come forward and had told her how awful Ross was to date.

Cassie had arranged for the person to expose Ross at the Rovers, but Ross got to her first. She then said she'd made the whole thing up and that she didn't want to be contacted again.

While Tyrone, Tracy and Steve all sided with Ross, Cassie was certain that he'd forced the woman to lie.
