As Sarah’s arrested for Theo’s murder, spoilers confirm major prison drama ahead
Lisa Swain arrested Sarah in front of her family
Coronation Street tonight (Monday, July 20), saw Sarah Platt get arrested by Lisa Swain and her team in front of Harry, David and Bethany.
Kit had gone to the station in a bid to help Sarah get rid of further evidence linking her to Theo’s murder. But, this proved to be unsuccessful.
It wasn’t long after this that Sarah was carted off in a police car. She soon became the talk of the Street.

Kit’s bid to save Sarah in Coronation Street
Kit Green was certain that Gary Windass was about to be charged for Theo’s murder, hearing from his colleagues that the police were about to close in on their top suspect.
He then made a comment to Sarah that Gary wouldn’t be attending Jake’s school awards ceremony that evening. Fiz overheard this and went gossiping straight back to Maria.
Maria then warned Gary that the police were after him, telling him to get a good lawyer immediately.
But, then Sarah feared that she wasn’t out of the woods yet. She’d suddenly remembered that the police had taken the outfit she’d worn on the night of Theo’s murder in for forensic examination. They’d taken it to see if they could help her track down her attacker.
Kit headed into work and then tried to play it cool. He quizzed his colleague on the piece of clothing that he’d been ‘told to check on.’
He wanted to know if it’d been taken to the lab yet.
Getting the information he needed, he immediately called Sarah to warn her. But, she never picked up.

Lisa arrested Sarah in Coronation Street
With Sarah rushing out of work feeling ‘sick’ all of a sudden, she headed back to the flat and was soon met by Bethany, David and Harry.
They wanted her to film a birthday message for Audrey. As David told everyone to put a big smile on their faces for Audrey, the police burst in and arrested Sarah for the murder of Theo.
Harry, Bethany and David were horrified as they watched Sarah get carted off in the police car. The word then soon spread round the Street.
Gary was in tears as he attended Jake’s ceremony thinking of Sarah, while Sarah phoned Kit to update him from her prison cell.
Kit acted as though Sarah was innocent on the phone, reassuring her that she’d be out in no time. But, with Sarah being questioned by Lisa and giving a ‘no comment’ statement, things were looking bad for Sarah.
Kit also had no idea that his colleagues were now starting to suspect that he helped Sarah cover the murder up too. But, will he manage to save both his and Sarah’s skins?
