Emmerdale tonight (Monday, July 20), aired a twist in which Serena Sugden stole an important USB from Kim Tate up at Home Farm.
As Head of Operations at Home Farm, Ross vowed to get to the bottom of who had stolen from Kim. First accusing Moira, he then pointed the finger at Aaron and Robert.
But, he had no idea that it was Serena Sugden who had actually taken Kim’s property.
Home Farm broken into in Emmerdale
Kim Tate wasn’t impressed when she informed Ross that Home Farm had been broken into. She’d woken up to someone in the house, grabbing a gun while encouraging them to reveal themselves.
With Kim wishing that Graham was back to maintain the high security of the place, Kim told Ross that he needed to oversee the security of Home Farm after he break in.
There wasn’t any CCTV footage and she didn’t see who was responsible. She did have a list of suspects though, and she wanted Ross to pay each of them a visit.
First up was Moira. Ross explained that Kim was suspicious of her, thinking she was after revenge for the farm wars. Ross wanted his auntie to just own up, but Moira assured him that it wasn’t her.
As for the other Dingles, they were innocent too. Moira told him that something would’ve been taken if it was one of them.
Ross then visited Robert and Aaron, with Serena happening to be there. Ross warned them to stop messing with that Tates, but Serena rushed in and told Ross that she trusted them with her life and they wouldn’t steal from Kim.

Serena told Ross that without evidence that it was Robert and Aaron he should stop with his line of interrogation.
Now back at the farm, Serena tried to get the couple back on side while promising to tell them the truth about her involvement with John.
She explained that John had come to her when he was on the run. It wasn’t out of the ordinary for John to visit her, but when she saw him pop up on the news he quickly scarpered. He was confirmed dead shortly after. Serena then struggled to process John’s betrayal.
Back at Home Farm, Kim told Ross that her USB stick had been stolen. She wanted Ross to sort the situation out before she fired him.
Ross had no idea though that Serena had taken the USB and was going through the files as they spoke….
But, what was she after? Fans have taken to social media to share their top theories over why Serena would want Kim’s USB stick.

1. Working for someone connected to the Tates
One theory is that Serena is secretly connected to the Tates somehow and is looking for information.
Could it be that someone like Jamie Tate is communicating with her?
One person on X commented: “I knew it was her. What’s she up to now? Is she working for someone related to the Tates?”
She’s definitely snooping through those files for something… But, what?
2. Looking for evidence of John’s murder
A second theory is that Serena’s looking for the CCTV footage showing Victoria kill John. While this was wiped, fans think that Serena’s still Team John and is desperate to make Vic and Robert pay for his death.
The theory predicted: “I guessed it was most likely her… if she’s there to get evidence to send Robert and Vic to prison for the murder then that’s a big betrayal. Also Vic being a single mum, Harry will have to live with Aaron. Or, is she trying to get the farm back?”
3. Wanting to bring the Tates down
A final theory is that she’s working to help Robert and Aaron with the farm and is actually on their side.
With the farm equipment needing repairing and replacing, Serena could be trying to find something on the Tates in a bid to blackmail them into giving her family what they want.
A fan suggested: “Aaron gave her an ultimatum, let them down again and she’s gone. Robert made a point of saying last week that Joe isn’t paying to repair farm equipment and she knows she needs to get back in their good books. The two could be related and she’s looking for something on the Tates.”
