Sarah heads to prison in Coronation Street spoilers

The walls close in on Sarah as Theo’s murder investigation takes another dramatic twist in Coronation Street spoilers next week.

Kit tries grilling McLaughlin for answers, but gets nowhere fast, with the detective keeping his cards firmly to his chest. When Kit lets slip that he thinks Gary could be the next one arrested, Sarah is thrown into panic mode, especially after forensics cart off the wedding outfit.

Before long, Fiz passes the juicy gossip on to Maria, who fears the worst for Gary. But just when it looks like Gary’s luck has run out, the investigation takes a shocking turn and Sarah suddenly finds herself in the firing line instead.

Lisa warns Kit that Sarah is now the prime suspect and even he could be dragged into the mess.

As Sarah is arrested in front of the stunned Platts, Maria is left reeling. Then, after discovering Gary hasn’t been telling the whole truth, she demands answers. She then confronts Sarah at the prison and urging her to finally spill what really happened to Theo.

Tina O’Brien’s future in Coronation Street explored

With Sarah now being arrested, it looks like the evidence is well and truly piling up. There’s nowhere left to hide now.

While it seems that Sarah could be heading for a lengthy stint behind bars, her detective boyfriend Kit could possibly decide to help her get out of this mess. Or, it could be ruled upon that she killed Theo in self defence.

Sarah’s prison outcome hasn’t yet been revealed to viewers, but actress Tina O’Brien recently addressed Sarah’s future on the soap. She admitted she wasn’t too sure how her character’s fate would play out, but prison was definitely something to fear.

With ‘acting not necessarily being a job for life, Tina warned that Sarah could ‘absolutely she could be going to prison this time’, hinting: “If she’d have called the police straight away and explained what happened, she would have been in a much better situation, because it was clearly not pre meditated, it was a situation where she felt she had no other choice. But to cover it up, to actively cover something up, she knows that she crossed a line that she can’t come back from.”

Sarah and Kit’s relationship at risk

But, as for Sarah and Kit’s relationship, that might be well and truly doomed. Tina teased: “It’s just constant guilt, guilt that she didn’t just call the police when it happened, guilt that Kit thinks it’s Gary, and she knows that she’s responsible for that. It’s guilt that a man has died, it’s guilt that Summer has spent time in prison. There’s a lot of guilt there and I think also, selfishly, she feels like she’s ruined her chance with Kit, because if he knows what she’s done, he might not want her anymore and she so wanted him to be her future.”

Now that Kit’s found out the truth about Theo’s murder, is there any coming back from this?
