Coronation Street confirms major fan theory as soap reveals who was really responsible for Lucy’s mum’s death in ITVX scenes

Last month, Coronation Street brought in two new characters – Tim’s brother Richie and his daughter Lucy. But very quickly things took a dark turn, as Richie was arrested for the murder of his wife, and Lucy headed to Tim and Sally’s to live.
However, Corrie fans weren’t convinced that we knew the whole story. There had been a few clues that a huge twist was coming. And tonight, Lucy made a comment to her dad that changed everything.
Lucy lashes out in Coronation Street
Ever since Lucy moved in, it was clear that she was struggling. But she didn’t even seem to want to give her new family a chance.
Lucy began plotting to get Shanice in trouble, telling her to go to the shop alone. Not only that but she has been purposefully causing trouble between Sally and Tim.
Tonight, things escalated even further when Lucy lost her temper at Sally. Her foster-mum found a horrifying drawing of a woman screaming, and asked Lucy if it was meant to depict her mum. But Lucy didn’t like that question and threw a remote at Sally, hitting her right in the face.
Sally was horrified, and Lucy rushed off just as Tim returned home to the chaos. However it didn’t take long before Lucy had him wrapped around her little finger again.
Corrie aired shock confession
But her constant lashing out and anger issues seemed to be playing on her mind. And when Tim was asleep on the sofa, she headed downstairs for some water.
That’s when she got a call from her dad in prison. And she broke down to him. She told Richie: “It’s happening again. I lost it with Sally. What if I do to her the same thing I did to mum?”
Richie assured her he would do whatever it takes to protect her, appearing to confirm he is actually taking the blame for a murder his daughter committed.
But with Lucy so easily lashing out, and now with the knowledge that she definitely played a part in her mum’s death, Sally and Tim could actually be in much more danger than we initially thought.
And with Christina soon discovering her connection to Rachel, things are about to get a lot more dramatic.
