Coronation Street fans predict shock Jodie twist following ‘ominous’ scene as Doug tries to warn Shona

It’s been months since Jodie arrived on the cobbles, and we’re still not really aware of any of her secrets. Everything we have found out has simply added more questions.
But after the arrival of Doug, some Coronation Street fans believe they know what could be going on. And as he tried to warn Shona, some are hoping everything is about to come out.
Doug attempted to warn Shona about Jodie
Shona was shocked to find her dad in her house, but when he explained he had been diagnosed with Bipolar, and that he had finally gotten it under control, she agreed to give him a chance.
But Doug was more concerned about what Jodie was up to. She was in the cafe when she bumped into a parent from when she pretended to be Shona, and Doug was shocked to realise what had happened.
Coronation Street fans really picked up on him asking his daughter: “You’re doing it again, aren’t you?” But Jodie just laughed him off.
However, when Shona and Doug were alone, Jodie was desperate to get back to them, clearly worried about what her dad might tell her sister. And when she arrived home she was just in time, as Doug told Shona he wanted to talk to her about Jodie.
Later, Jodie tried to make her dad see there was no point in rocking the boat anymore, desperate for him to keep whatever her secret is. But when Doug saw her longing glance at David, he was very concerned.
And things took an even more ominous approach when Jodie crossed out Shona’s face in a family photo. Just what is she planning against her sister?
However, Doug’s comments has Coronation Street fans convinced this isn’t the first time she has impersonated Shona – and actually has done it before.
Not only that, but some fans are now thinking Jodie may also be bipolar. And either hasn’t been diagnosed or is off her medication, and that could be what Doug is trying to tell Shona.

One penned on Reddit: “Doug said ‘You’re doing it again’ to Jodie, so she has pretended to be Shona before when she was younger? There was also a huge focus on his bipolar being the reason he wasn’t a good dad. Now, I’m thinking there is a chance Jodie is also bipolar but isn’t dealing with it. That last scene was quite ominous!”
Another agreed: “I definitely think they could be heading down this route. There has to be a way to redeem her character as I don’t see her leaving.”
Others are glad Doug has arrived, because now we can finally get some answers. One penned: “Yes, finally someone who knows exactly what Jodie is hiding. Hopefully he actually tells Shona this time.”

While a lot of people are getting fed up with Jodie’s plot, there are a few fans who are actually enjoying her reckless behaviour.
One penned: “Even though Jodie seemingly has no motive, I’m kind of obsessed with how much of a menace to literally everyone she is.”
Another agreed: “Literally this. Jodie, as of right now, doesn’t seem to have a purpose. She’s just causing chaos for the love of the game. It’s hilarious.”
So, with Doug now back in their lives, is the biggest Jodie twist about to come?
