Coronation Street fans predict sinister twist for Lucy as she lashes out at Sally and Tim in ITVX release
Lucy will be causing troubleCoronation Street welcomes its newest arrival today as Lucy moves in with Sally and Tim. But her behaviour in the ITVX early release has fans questioning if another twist is coming.
This week, Tim was shocked to come face-to-face with his cousin Richie, who he hadn’t seen since they were kids. But very quickly, Richie explained how terrible his marriage is, and how he was scared of his wife.
So, when Tim went to check that all was okay, he was horrified to find Rachel dead in the kitchen. And soon enough, Richie was charged with her murder. But that left his daughter, Lucy, with nowhere to go – until Tim saved the day.
Lucy has moved to Coronation Street
In tonight’s ITVX release, Sally discovered that Lucy’s foster placement had fallen through. While she didn’t think they would be able to help her, Tim made the decision alone that they would be taking Lucy in.
While Sally was shocked, she wasn’t in a position to turn Lucy down. And so, both of them, along with Brody, welcomed Lucy to Weatherfield.
Despite thinking they weren’t ready for this kind of parenting, Brody helped Sally see how much she helped him. And so, helping Lucy could be really good for the youngster.
However, after leaving her alone for 10 minutes, Sally and Tim were shocked to find she had already done a runner. But thankfully, she didn’t get too far as they found her at the bus stop.
Eventually, they convinced Lucy it would be best if she stayed with them in Coronation Street. But while they were having dinner, Lucy’s temper flared.
She admitted she would be better once she got to see her dad. Sally and Tim tried to explain that she wouldn’t be able to see Richie, but this actually only agitated her.
Lashing out, Lucy screamed that Tim and Sally are nothing to her, as they don’t know her. And that she was there when it happened so they can’t tell her what to do.
Did Richie really kill Rachel?
Lucy’s shock outburst at the end of tonight’s episode left a lot of Coronation Street fans wondering if there is more than meets the eye in this storyline.
In fact, a lot predict that Lucy actually killed her mum – and Richie is taking the fall for his own daughter so she doesn’t go to prison.
Taking to social media, one fan penned: “Lucy is going to be trouble. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s the one who killed her mum.”
Another added: “Maybe Lucy actually did it. You heard it here first.”
“It’s possible Richie is covering for Lucy” a third commented.
The topic was also discussed on a Reddit thread for those who have watched tonight’s episode already.
One wrote: “I actually think Lucy’s temper is on purpose. I fully believe she killed her mum and Richie is covering for her.”
Another responded: “This is what I think too. I thought it before today’s episode. And now they way she was acting has just made me even more convinced.”
It’s entirely possible that Lucy is just a traumatised teen. But Coronation Street fans are convinced the sinister twist will happen.
