Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ who Kit was calling after mysterious voicemail
Kit left a mysterious voicemail to someoneCoronation Street aired a mysterious voicemail from Kit Green last night, with him then confirming he would “be there”.
It’s not been an easy time for Kit recently as he had to deal with the fact the woman he loves murdered someone. Then to make things even worse, when he thought he could help her, Sarah broke up with him.
So, it wasn’t too surprising that last night he was drowning his sorrows. But in the middle of the chaos, he received a mystery phone call.
Kit’s mysterious voicemail in Coronation Street
Last night (August 11), Kit was going out of his way to get drunk, to deal with the fact that Sarah had dumped him.
While Bethany and David tried to make him see that she still loved him, Kit remained unconvinced because he’s still been left single.
During the episode, Kit got notified of a call. But as he chose to decline, the caller left a voicemail. The woman on the other side of the call explained: “Hello. This is a message for Christopher Green. I’m ringing..” The rest of the call will stay a mystery as Kit hung up, clearly aware of what it was for.
Then, towards the end of the episode, Kit clearly knew he had to call the woman back. As he stared at images of him and Sarah, then of Bernie, Kit checked his watch and made the call.
However, he got greeted by the voicemail service, explaining that the “office opening hours are 9am to 6pm”.
Kit decided to leave a message. He explained: “This is Christopher Green. I got your message. I’ll be there.”
Fans ‘work out’ who he was calling back
The whole phone call is a mystery for Coronation Street fans. One they think they may have worked out already.
Taking to social media and Reddit after the episode, fans discussed what they think the phone call is about. And they seemed to narrow it down to two main theories.
Many acknowledged that the call sounded extremely professional, especially by using his full name. And so they wondered if Kit could actually be ill.
One penned on Reddit: “Is Kit sick? The person on the call referred to him as his full name. Then when he called back, he was given opening hours. By saying he’ll be there, could he be confirming an appointment? He may have been drinking to avoid more than just his breakup with Sarah!”
Another agreed: “I did think maybe he’s ill and that’s another reason he’s drinking. Seemed to official to call him Christopher and not Kit or DC Green if it was about his job. I found it weird they should a picture of Bernie on his phone just before he called back.”
Bernie’s already lost one son, as Paul died in 2024, so if fans are right, Kit could have been looking at her photo because he knows what she went through before.
However, another theory is that Kit is being investigated because of his connection to Sarah, and how involved he is trying to get in Theo’s murder case.
One commented: “I think he’s being investigated. The reason he hung up was avoidance. He checked out of reality when he was drinking but then he realised how important it was to respond.”
Whatever the phone call was about, Kit definitely doesn’t need anything else to go wrong!
