Danny Dyer eyes Celebrity Traitors 2026: 'If the money's right, I might get involved'
He said he was asked to take part in this year's show
Danny Dyer has clearly seen the error of his ways after realising what a runaway success the first series of Celebrity Traitors has been.
The ex-EastEnders star has revealed that, after being approached by the Beeb to take part in this year’s series and turning it down, he’s now desperate to appear… if the price is right!

Danny Dyer wants to do Celebrity Traitors 2026
The Celebrity Traitors has been the TV success story of the year. It’s seen viewers watching in their millions, with the nation gripped by Alan Carr’s traitorous ways, Jonathan Ross swerving banishment and Joe Marler’s terrifying death stare.
And, after turning down an invitation to appear, Danny Dyer now appears to wish he was right there with the rest of the Celebrity Traitors gang, battling it out in host Claudia Winkleman’s Scottish Highlands castle.
Speaking on his Live and Let Dyers podcast, Danny said: “I’m into it – they did sniff round me about it. I’d never seen it so it was a no from me because for one I hadn’t seen it but now I’m into it.
“If you’re going to do it, if you’re famous, it needs to be an indulgence project, you have to love the game. It’s quite a simple game, I thought it was too complicated. But it’s actually just about people manipulating people and a lot of lying.”
He added: “If you’re a Faithful it’s hard. You’re trying to over act that you’re a Faithful and it backfires on you. But yeah it’s a good line-up and I’m enjoying it.”

‘If the money’s right…’
Although a second series of the show hasn’t been confirmed by the BBC, one is expected to be given the green light. It’s expected that it’ll be filmed in late spring 2026, and air around this time next year.
Danny has one condition to taking part, though. The price needs to be right! He continued: “So if the money’s right… I might get involved in the next series.”
If £40k sounds about right, Danny, then you’re in luck. It’s previously been reported that all the celebs taking part in the 2025 series got the same flat fee – regardless of how long they stayed in and if they’re a Traitor or a Faithful.
As for what Danny would want to be, it seems he’ll be pleading with Claude to make him a Traitor. “I think I’d want to be a Traitor. There’s triple bluffs, double bluffs. It’s more fun to be a Traitor. You’ve got a job!” he declared.
The Celebrity Traitors airs tonight (October 30) on BBC One at 9pm.
