'Why did she risk all of that?' Deal or No Deal contestant Brogan blasted after disastrous game

Cancer nurse Brogan really didn't win big…

Deal Or No Deal returned tonight after that huge episode last night where the player walked away despite having the huge £100k in her box.

Tonight, it was Brogan’s turn to play the game. And she got box 19 – the exact same one that had the £100k yesterday. So, immediately there was a lot of pressure.

Brogan explained she works as a nurse, who started her own side business to help future nurses, and she desperately wanted to win big. So, how did it go?

How did Brogan do?

From the opening round, it was clear the game wasn’t following the same path as before – and the pressure only mounted from there.

After the first round, Brogan had already seen the £75k and £5k disappear from the board. When The Banker called, attention turned to fortune teller Felix, who was asked what he believed was in Brogan’s box. His prediction didn’t offer much reassurance, suggesting she held just £10k.

Brogan refused the deal, but the next round proved disastrous. She suffered an all-red wipeout, losing the £100k alongside £3k and £1k – a heartbreaking moment that shifted the balance of the game completely.

There was some relief in the following round as only blue amounts went, nudging the banker’s offers upward. Still, Brogan wasn’t ready to walk away. Round four brought more blues, but also the £10k Felix had predicted for her box. Tempted by a £2,900 offer, she declined once again.

That decision soon stung. The £50k went next, followed by £7,500, prompting a £2,000 offer. In the next round, the last remaining red was lost, with Stephen joking she should hope for the penny, because at least that came with a good story.

Trusting her instinct one last time, Brogan chose the box she felt drawn to – and eliminated the 1p.

In the end, Brogan walked away with 50p. But she remained positive about the whole experience.

Brogan’s emotional reason for doing Deal or No Deal

When Brogan was selected to play, after a brief fangirl moment over Stephen Mulhern, she opened up on why she wanted to do the show.

Brogan told Stephen: “I was a full-time cancer nurse for five years, until earlier this year when I started a business that took off overnight. So, now, that’s my full-time job. And I’m a nurse on the side.”

Stephen wanted to know what made Brogan apply for the show, and that’s when she heartbreakingly revealed her nan’s death.

Brogan explained: “I used to watch the show with my nana, before she died. I have her handwriting tattooed on my arm. She wrote me a letter before she died, and I got the ‘I love you’ tattooed. That’s my lucky tattoo.”

Later, Stephen asked her what made her become a nurse, where she revealed it was also because of losing her nan. Brogan explained: “My nan died of breast cancer in 2017. Straight away I decided to go and be a nurse. It’s a really rewarding job but it is a lot really young. But I loved it.”

Fans shocked at reaction

But fans were left shocked as Brogan was adamant that she didn’t care about the money and came for the experience.

One fan penned: “She’s upset but is clearly trying to pretend she isn’t.”

Another asked: “The Banker should have given her the 1p since she wanted it so bad.”

“I don’t get why she risked all of that to stay in the game. She could have had more money. She got greedy,” a third penned.

However, one fan added: “She seems like a lovely girl and clearly came for the experience.”

“Brogan seems like a nice girl. Just wasn’t her game,” another penned.
