Deal or No Deal agony as today's player deals… then discovers £100k was hers all along!
Oh Sonia! Absolutely gutted for you!
Deal or No Deal delivered a brutal twist today (January 13) as player Sonia discovered she had walked away from a huge £100,000 jackpot after taking The Banker’s offer.
Despite playing a strong game and securing a five-figure sum, Sonia was left stunned when it was revealed that the top prize had been sitting in her own box all along.

Sonia’s emotional game
Sonia told host Stephen Mulhern that she was playing with meaning, explaining that the numbers she chose were linked to special people in her life.
Fighting back tears, she revealed that her cousin Tony had died in a “freak accident” just months earlier, shortly after her partner James had also lost his mother.
“It’s been a really tough time,” Sonia admitted, adding that she hoped to honour Tony’s memory by continuing his work supporting dog rescue charities.

How Deal or No Deal player Sonia lost out on £100k today
Sonia’s game got off to a shaky start when she eliminated the £75,000 early on. However, her luck quickly turned, with the £50,000 and £100,000 remaining on the board deep into the game.
With £5k, £10k, £50k and £100k still in play — alongside just the 1p — the Banker offered £10,900. Sonia declined and continued.
After opening the £50k and the 1p, the pressure intensified. Guaranteed at least £5,000 and still chasing the £100k, Sonia was offered £22,670 — which she decided to accept.
But the heartbreak came moments later.
Stephen revealed that, had she continued, the Banker would have increased the offer to £52,670. And when Sonia finally opened her own box, it was confirmed that she had been holding the £100,000 from the very start.

‘Hope you enjoy every penny’
Despite the crushing reveal, Sonia remained upbeat, walking away with a life-changing sum. Even if it wasn’t the six-figure dream she came so close to.
“Still a huge amount to win, but yikes missing out on the £100k. Gutted for her,” said one viewer. “Ah I just knew she had the £100k in her box. Even though she’s going home with £22,670, it’s clear she’s gutted about that,” another commented.
“The £100,000 has been brought to the table today. uut well done Sonia on taking home £22,670 you have been a great player. I hope you enjoy every penny of that amount,” said another.
