EastEnders fans believe they have ‘worked out’ what Ned is really doing as they spot ‘clues’ that he is actually plotting something much more sinister for Ian.

It’s been a tough lot of months for Ian as he struggled to cope with life inside prison. But now that he’s finally out, he’s finding it just as much of a struggle.

So, when newcomer Ned showed some interest in him, EastEnders fans are now wary that it could actually be for sinister reasons.

Ned’s new interest in Ian in EastEnders

Since joining the show recently, Ned has been thrown in the deep end. And while EastEnders fans have struggled to fully trust him from the beginning, things are even more tense now.

Ian’s finally home from prison and was struggling with his new life. But someone who was quick to lend a friendly ear was newbie Ned.

Ned found himself opening up to Ian, trying to get him to do the same back. And while it may all be to build on Ned’s character and give him new friendships, EastEnders fans don’t trust him.

But this is mainly because Ned seemed to be interested in Ian’s business before even introducing himself to him. So, it definitely seems like an ulterior motive is at play.

Fans believe something dark is coming

Taking to social media, EastEnders fans discussed the possibility that Ned is really playing Ian, with many suspecting he either wants his money or his business.

One fan penned on social media: “I think Ned is a conman. He overheard that Ian has several businesses. I think he is going to try to get some of the businesses of Ian by using counselling for free to make him the good guy. But the twist will be that later down the line Ned asks him for money.”

Another added: “I don’t trust Ned at all. But hopefully him helping Ian is genuine and not just buttering him up because he is planning something.”

“Ned is very keen to help Ian. I don’t trust him” a third commented.

A fourth wrote: “To be honest, I think Ned is going to get Ian into trouble.”

Exactly what’s going on remains to be seen, but in SoapLand things are rarely just coincidences…
