Billy dumped Gabby in Emmerdale

Viewers will know that, earlier this week, Billy kissed his ex-wife Dawn. The ex-wife who is due to get married to Joe Tate rather soon.

While Dawn pulled away and told Billy that he’d got the wrong idea about their friendship, Billy couldn’t help but acknowledge his feelings for her.

Tonight, Billy opened up to colleague Caleb at the Depot about his kiss with Dawn. The chat made him realise that it was unfair to string Gabby along when his heart still lay with Dawn.

He then decided to meet up with Gabby and told her that he wanted to break up with her because ‘something didn’t feel right.’

Gabby was devastated as she thought that it was going somewhere, heartbroken by another vague rejection from a man.

She then vowed to get revenge, but she wasn’t the only one out to make Billy pay.

At the Depot, Joe Tate found out that Caleb, Kerry and Billy were dropping off fake car parts. Caleb, caught in the act, quickly turned things around with some ammunition of his own.

He told Joe all about Billy’s kiss with Dawn, and it turned out that Joe wasn’t aware of it before. He was furious that Billy was after his bride-to-be, and that Dawn hadn’t said anything to him either.

Later on, Joe told Graham about Billy and Dawn’s kiss as Graham encouraged him to speak to Dawn to get her version of events.

But, Joe was after revenge just like Gabby. With Gabby telling Dawn about Billy dumping her, Dawn was shocked and phoned Billy.

Billy was supposed to be doing one final drop off at work, having no idea that Joe already knew about both the kiss and the dodgy dealings.

However, the episode ended with Billy unable to pick up Dawn’s call. Instead, he was seen lying on the Depot floor in a pool of blood. But, is he dead?

Fans fear for Billy’s life after attack

With Billy looking to be in a very bad way, fans of the soap have taken to social media to share their concerns that he might be dead.

Another person complained: “No, leave Billy alone.”

A third person added: “I really really hope that Billy is not leaving, I think he’s amazing xxx”

Jay Kontzle’s soap future explored

There has been no official announcement that Jay Kontzle is leaving Emmerdale as Billy. However, with Olivia Bromley reportedly leaving the soap as Dawn later this year, Billy’s future is in doubt.

The character only really has strong ties to Dawn and the kids, meaning that it is possible that the soap would want to cut Billy’s time in the village short.

It’s also worth noting that Billy himself if not mentioned any further in the spoilers for the rest of this week or next week. Gabby is left devastated though when she discovers that Billy kissed Dawn while they were still together.

Billy looks to have lost a lot of blood, but the medics of Soapland have saved characters from a lot worse over the years. So, Billy might just make it through.

Viewers will have to keep tuning in to find out whether Billy makes it or not. And, who attacked him.
