Emmerdale fans predict shock comeback for Jimmy’s half-sister Scarlett Nicholls for heartbreaking funeral scenes
Scarlett was last seen in 2012Emmerdale fans are convinced a huge return for Scarlett Nicholls is around the corner after the death of her half-brother Jimmy King.
Jimmy tragically died after his car plunged into Joe and Dawn’s wedding marquee. It has since been revealed that he swerved to miss an oncoming car – that Vinny was driving.
However, since his death, his ex-wife Sadie King has reappeared, and made Nicola believe their life together was a lie. And now, Emmerdale fans are convinced another woman in Jimmy’s life is about to make a return.
Who is Scarlett Nicholls in Emmerdale?
Scarlett was played by Kelsey-Beth Crossley and during her few years on Emmerdale, she quickly became a fan favourite.
She joined in 2007, and was the younger secret half-sister of Jimmy, Carl and Matthew. As it turned out, their father, Tom King, was having an affair with Carrie Nicholls, who was his wife’s nurse at the time of her death.
The secret meant that the King brothers only found out about their little sister after Tom died. And it was only because he had left her 25% of Home Farm and 10% of Kings and Sons which was to be left in a trust until she turned 18.
While Matthew didn’t want to know his sister, both Jimmy and Carl found themselves slowly becoming quite close to her. During her time in the village she dated Adam Barton – but when he kissed someone else in 2011, Scarlett decided to leave.
But while she was there she started her own business organising hen parties… so she could easily slot back in and even work at Take A Vow – Belle’s running the place on her own after Dawn’s death.
Fans believe Scarlett will return for Jimmy King’s funeral
After Jimmy’s death, some fans began theorising that Scarlett could make her return to the village – something which fans have wanted for some time. Many believed it was quite realistic since she briefly returned in 2012 for Carl’s funeral. And she and Jimmy were always the closest.
One penned on X: “I wonder if Jimmy’s sister Scarlett Nicholls will return for his funeral? She came back for Carl’s?”
Another agreed: “I think she would as Jimmy and Scarlett had a close sibling relationship. Jimmy was the one who wanted to get to know her more.”
Over on Reddit, some Emmerdale fans were discussing the same thing. One proposed that she could even be the one to help Nicola take down Sadie.
They penned: “Surely Scarlett would return for Jimmy’s funeral? She came back to the village for Carl’s. She was initially in it just after Sadie left but she might know about her history with the family and could help take her down? I would love to see her again!”
A fan agreed: “I hope so. Always loved Scarlett” while another commented: “I’m always up for a Scarlett return.”
So, it’s not impossible for Scarlett to return for Jimmy King’s funeral. We will just have to wait, but fingers crossed for a happy surprise!
