Monty the dog rescued by Cain in fire
Tonight in Emmerdale, it seemed that Kyle’s fire starting phase wasn’t over just yet.
Unhappy with his dad stopping him from seeing Graham, and still struggling with the revelation that Joe Tate technically killed his mum Amy, Kyle decided to start another fire.
This time, Kyle set fire to the shed but he had no idea that Monty the dog was trapped inside. Cain managed to rush in and rescue the dog, with Kyle left feeling guilty over what he’d done.
With Monty being checked on by Paddy at the vets, Cain decided to pay Graham a visit. He begged him for his help as Graham was right – Kyle was struggling. He needed a friend. And, Cain wanted advice.
It took Graham some time but he soon turned up at the Dingles’ and helped Kyle deal with the mess he’d made of the shed.

Later on, Paddy returned to the Dingles’ to share some news with the whole family. Monty seemed to have recovered after the fire, but tests showed that something else was abnormal.
It seemed that Monty’s health wasn’t looking too great, and it was possible that he had cancer.
Cain fretted, noting that Monty meant everything to their late dad Zak and he couldn’t face anything happening to him.
The family then came together as emotions were high, worrying about Monty’s future while wondering just how ill he was.
Will Monty be okay? And, will Kyle stop starting fires?
