As Megan’s sentenced to five years in prison, here’s whether Beth Nixon has left Coronation Street
Megan's behind bars
Coronation Street tonight (Friday, July 3), saw Megan Walsh get sentenced to five years in prison after the jury found her guilty.
This was the moment the Driscoll family had longed for, but the same couldn’t be said for Megan and her mum Janine.
Now that Megan’s been sentenced to five years inside, have Beth Nixon’s final Corrie scenes already aired?

Megan sentenced to five years in Coronation Street
The Driscoll family faced an anxious wait as Megan Walsh’s trial finally came to an end. Will hoped the verdict would bring a permanent end to her place in his life.
Inside the courtroom, Will sat with his family while Megan’s mum, Janine, waited nervously to hear the jury’s decision.
After deliberating, the jury returned guilty verdicts on both charges. Megan was found guilty of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, including doing so while in a position of trust.
The judge then sentenced Megan to five years in prison, although Maggie pointed out she could end up serving only half that time.
As officers escorted her from court, Megan branded Will a “liar” before desperately pleading with Janine to help her. Fighting back tears, Janine could only watch as her daughter begged her to “do something” before being taken to her cell.
Later, Ollie encouraged Will to focus on the future, now Megan was finally behind bars.

Beth Nixon’s exit from Coronation Street
While the soap is yet to confirm whether Megan’s sentencing were Beth Nixon’s final scenes on the soap, it appears to be that way.
Unless Megan reappears in future prison scenes, it looks as though the storyline has come to a close. And with it, so has actress Beth’s time filming on the soap set.
Back in May, it was reported that Beth was gearing up to film her final scenes on the soap. A source at the time told The Sun: “It’s not easy coming in as such a twisted character but she has done a brilliant job and really impressed bosses.
“Sadly, there’s no way back for her character otherwise, she would have had a long future in Weatherfield.
“Beth is gearing up to film her final scenes which will play out on screen later this year.”
Sharing a photo of himself and Beth during her last days on set, co-star Jude Riordan also took to Instagram this week to pay tribute to his friend.
In the photo, Beth could be standing next to Jude with tears in her eyes. Jude captioned the post: “FRIENDS REALLY. I really enjoyed working with Beth. Megan really tormented Sam and pushed him right over the edge but shows what a great baddie she is!”
Beth responded: “Aww Jude, you can see the tears in my eyes here. I loved working with you and you are smashing this storyline.” She then congratulated Jude on his recent award nomination for his portrayal of Sam Blakeman.
What else happened in Coronation Street tonight?
Sam accepted what was best
Sam hoped that his family could now be honest with him about what was happening with Megan. He told them that it wasn't right to lie to someone who was prone to paranoia.
With Leanne coming to visit him, Sam thanked here for coming to see him as she apologised for missing him the other day. Sam then realised that staying at the hospital was what was best for him right now.
Alfie fell sick
Abi was fuming when she needed to contact her landlord but had no idea who he was. At Speed Daal, she phoned him and was shocked when Idris answered.
She was livid that he was her dodgy landlord.
Later on, Abi then put a poorly Alfie to bed in his room and promised to get him checked out by a doctor. But, she had no idea that black mould was under his bed.
