Coronation Street aired its ITVX episode today (Wednesday, July 1), with this seeing Megan Walsh tell a fresh lie in a bid to avoid being sent to prison.

With Ben crumbling on the stand, Megan then used this against him and presented him as a bad parent in court.

And, she even proceeded to tell a heartbreaking lie to sway things in her favour.

Megan told a huge suicide lie in court in Coronation Street

Tonight, Ben Driscoll didn’t have many high hopes when it came to helping prove that Megan was a child groomer.

With Will already having told the court that he’d made their whole relationship up, Ben tried to tell the court today about Will’s change in behaviour since meeting Megan.

But, he started to crumble when Adam cross-examined him. Adam started suggesting that Will’s new behaviour was just him struggling to adjust to the move away from Hull.

Megan then took to the stand and preyed upon Ben’s weakness, suggesting that Will’s behaviour was down to the pressure he was facing from Ben.

With Ben being a former rugby player, Will felt immense pressure to live up to his dad’s standard. He would apparently often cry during training sessions with Megan, and even told her that he’d been thinking about suicide.

Ben then shouted out in court that Megan was lying, with the Driscolls then leaving the room before Ben could be taken away for disruption.

Will reacted to Megan’s fresh lie

Back in the pub, Will sat down with Susie for company. She told him that she wanted to be with him as everyone was clearly very stressed about the whole Megan thing. She missed the time when they were one big happy family.

With Will already being given some food for thought, his family then returned home from court. Ben told him about Megan’s claims and asked him whether they were true.

Will couldn’t believe that Megan would lie like that, reassuring his family that suicide had never crossed his mind.

Seeking some advice, Will then visited Tim Metcalfe. He admitted that he’d messed the trial up by lying about nothing happening between him and Megan.

Is Will finally starting to realise that Megan deserves to be locked up?
