Aaron begged Robert to call things off in Emmerdale tonight
Robert has been determined to go through with his vow renewal to prison husband Kev. It meant he lost Aaron when he refused to break up with Kev.
In Robert’s mind, Kev only has a few months to live so if he stays with him he can keep unpredictable Kev calm and inherit a fortune when he dies. Win win.
Except it’s lose lose when it comes to keeping Aaron. On Wednesday night (November 5) Victoria begged Aaron to try again with Robert. She can see Robert’s heart is not with Kev and urged Aaron to fight.
Aaron stormed round and told Robert to call off the vow renewal, insisting if he didn’t they were over for good.
So what will Robert do? Will he go thr0ugh with it?

Emmerdale spoilers reveal big confession for Robert
Robert’s emotional turmoil has been building since his return to the village earlier this year. Following his 2019 imprisonment for the murder of Lee Posner, he cut ties with Aaron entirely, convinced he would never be freed. He later filed for divorce.
Yet six years on, new evidence resulted in his release, allowing him to return home. Adjusting to life on the outside, however, has proved difficult.
His nightmares have been intense enough to cause him to lash out unintentionally, even injuring Victoria in his sleep. Despite his clear distress, Robert has repeatedly refused to explain what happened in prison.
The upcoming episode features flashbacks revealing the full story of Robert’s time inside. Viewers already know he was targeted by fellow inmates. But the standalone instalment goes further, showing the extent of the bullying and the psychological pressure he faced.
It also explores how Kev stepped in to protect him. Robert acknowledges he might never have survived prison without Kev, but the question now is whether he was pressured into the marriage or whether he genuinely believed it was his only hope.
As Robert recounts his experiences to Aaron and Victoria, further shocks emerge. It helps to explain how deeply prison has affected him. Aaron and Vic struggle to process what they hear.
Meanwhile, Kev is seen at Woodbine Cottage in an emotional state. The terminally ill inmate is distraught, leaving open the question of whether Robert has ended their marriage – and what Kev might do next.
