Emmerdale spoilers show Cain's return isn't good news for sick Moira after her collapse
Cain's back - but he's not himselfEmmerdale tonight aired a collapse for Moira Dingle as her son Matty Barton expressed fears her brain tumour is back.
Without husband Cain by her side, things have been getting on top of Moira as she juggles the farm, the house, the kids and the garage. But is exhaustion what caused her collapse? And when will Cain return to help her out?
Moira’s shock collapse in Emmerdale tonight – but what caused it?
Moira is holding everything together while Cain is in France. He is hot on the tail of John Sugden who has escaped abroad. Viewers know – and now so do the rest of the village – that John was responsible for the death of Nate Robinson. Although it was an accident, he covered it up, chucked the body in a lake and framed someone else for the murder.
John subsequently dragged Aaron over a cliff and held Mackenzie Boyd hostage. So he’s got a lot to answer for!
But while Cain is off searching for justice, Moira is struggling at home. She lashed out at Kammy for not opening the garage, even though it was way before opening time and then snapped at Belle who thought she needed to sit down and rest for a minute.
Later, while out in the fields, Moira collapsed. Matty raced to her rescue, got her home and expressed his fears her brain tumour is back again. Moira insisted it wasn’t and that she was just tired and overworked while Cain was away.
Matty laid into his stepdad shirking his responsibilities. Although Moira said she understood this was Cain’s way of grieving for his son, it was clear she is almost at the end of her tether too.
Fan fears
When Moira first had her brain tumour, hitting out irrationally and collapsing where both symptoms. Although she’s now had surgery and radiotherapy and been given the all-clear, could the tumour have returned?
Fans are certainly worried, with some writing their fears on social media: “Is Moira getting sick again?” queried one.
Another added: “This is probably something to do with her brain tumour.”
“I don’t think she’s just overworked,” agreed one more.
So while we don’t know if her tumour has returned – or if there are any plans to revisit the storyline, it’s clear Moira isn’t okay. And where is Cain when she needs him?

If only Cain coming back could relieve all of Moira’s problems, it would be okay. But next week’s spoilers show that’s not the case.
After she calls him on Monday (October 13) she leaves a voicemail demanding he comes home. When Cain then does return, he’s on a path of self-destruction.
He just wants to drink booze and forget everything else. He won’t talk about John and what happened, and refuses to acknowledge his responsibilities at home.
It’s also the anniversary of Zak’s death, but Cain doesn’t turn up to mourn with Belle and Sam. It causes them great worry too.
Liam also can’t get through to his best mate, who prefers to shut himself away in the garage getting drunk.
Kyle the one to get through to Cain when he shows him his man of the match trophy? With Cain drunk again, will this be the push he needs to get sober and find another way to cope with his grief?
