Emmerdale aired a huge Joe Tate mistake on Tuesday night (October 21) when he Joe accidentally hit Jimmy King with his car.

After Joe threatened to get justice against the King family himself when the police decided not to act after Carl shared Clemmie’s indecent image, this does not look good for Joe.

And it’s Caleb who holds his fate in his hands as he witnessed the accident. But as Caleb is not Joe’s biggest fan, could he use this opportunity to get the ultimate revenge on Joe?

Joe’s reckless mistake leaves Jimmy fighting for his life in Emmerdale

Joe Tate’s recent threats to the King family came back to haunt him things spiralled out of control. After warning on Monday night that “justice comes in many forms,” Joe was in a foul mood as he sped down a country lane, distracted by his phone. Moments later, disaster struck and he hit Jimmy King with his car.

Shocked by what he’d done, Joe panics and prepared to flee the scene. But before he could drive away, Caleb appeared, having witnessed everything. Caught out, Joe quickly claimed he was going to call for help, and an ambulance was soon on its way.

At the hospital, Nicola was horrified to see Joe being questioned by police. Furious, she insisted she doesn’t believe the collision was an accident.

Later, Joe sought out Caleb, desperate to make sure he told the ‘right’ version of events. But his desperation only made things worse — he first tried to blackmail Caleb over Ruby’s father, Anthony, and then offered him £25,000 to stay quiet.

Caleb instead, he delivered a chilling warning: “You let me know when you’ve decided how much your freedom is worth. Police are in at 12.”

Now, Joe’s fate lies squarely in Caleb’s hands. His next move could determine whether Joe walks free or ends up behind bars.

A shocking discovery interrupts Joe and Caleb’s tense showdown

Joe returns to confront Caleb and plead his case on Wednesday night (October 22). But their heated exchange is cut short when they hear a noise coming from one of the vans. Investigating, they discover a girl, Anya, hiding inside.

As the police arrive outside, Joe rushes to intercept them, trying to keep them away from the depot while Caleb deals with the situation.

But has Joe’s help with the stowaway situation done enough to stop Caleb from revealing the truth about Jimmy’s accident? Or is time finally running out for Joe Tate?
