Does Traitor hunting run in the family?
The Traitors fans appear to be convinced that Jessie and Harriet are somehow linked, with one suggesting that Jessie may even be one of novelist Harriet’s children.
Harriet was banished from Ardross Castle last night, in spectacular scenes that led some to believe she exploded deliberately to boost book sales.
But is Harriet hiding another secret? Namely that fellow contestant Jessie is one of her children?
‘Is Jessie Harriet’s daughter?’
Viewers reckon they’re related in some way. Especially after Jessie’s reaction to Harriet’s banishment.
After Roxy told the group she “welcomed any questions” and insisted she was a Faithful, a visibly upset Jessie urged: “Let’s just pause, can we just pause a minute please.”
“Is Jessie Harriet’s daughter?” asked one viewer. “Are Jessie and Harriet related?” another asked.
A third said the same: “Are Harriet and Jessie linked somehow?” “You can’t deny, they’ve both got Traitor-hunting skills,” said another, joining the debate.
Family tree debate
Earlier on in the series, the family tree portrait did spark huge suspicion that all the contestants are somehow linked to one another.
And, with viewers also thinking there are more twists to come in the series’ remaining episodes, they would love for another family connection to be exposed.
While we reckon there is some credibility to the theory that Harriet and Jessie do know each other outside of the show, it’s doubtful she’s her daughter.
Although, saying that, a deep dive on Harriet Tyce’s Instagram doesn’t turn up any recent pictures of her children or her wider family…
So who are Harriet Tyce’s children?
Harriet Tyce is a well-known crime writer. She has a Wikipedia page and has spoken about her children in the past. She does have a daughter. However, she’s a bit younger than 28-year-old Jessie.
Harriet, 53, and husband Nathaniel – a multi-millionaire City trader – are parents to Freddie, 21, and Eloise, 17.
They live in London. But Harriet was born in Edinburgh.
Jessie, meanwhile, is from Hull. She previously said that, if she wins, she’ll spend the money paying off her mum’s house. So it’s unlikely that she is Harriet’s daughter, given that Harriet and her husband are both big earners.
So while our DNA test says no to them being mother and daughter, watching them plot, viewers swear deceit and drama run in the family…
