Here's exactly how many times MAFS Australia’s Gia secretly phoned her alternative match behind husband Scott's back

This week sees the final test for all of our couples. For the first time ever, they don’t get an option as they all had to meet their alternative matches.
After Scott admitted he can’t be honest about how he feels, things have been very tense. And during the final test, Gia got very flirty with alternative match, James. So much so, that it continued outside the experiment.
What happened during the Alternative Match test?
In tonight’s episode of MAFS Australia (May 5), the brides and grooms were all sent out to meet their alternative match. The experts explained that everyone had another match when they were originally being paired, and so it is time to see if “the grass is greener” elsewhere.
Scott and Gia had been having some issues ahead of this, and so when she met her match, James, she couldn’t hold down the excitement.
James was immediately upfront about wanting to try things out with Gia, telling her she has now met her actual “husband”. Gia didn’t shut him down at all, instead playing into things and even egging him on at times.
But when James asked for Gia’s number or Instagram, she didn’t give him it, instead told him to look at MAFS social media and find her through that. However, he was determined to leave with at least giving her his number. And so, he wrote it down on a napkin and Bec took it for Gia to use “in the future”.
When James told Gia he had waited over a year for someone before, she told him he wouldn’t have to wait that long for her as she’s “done in a week”.

However, Scott physically couldn’t even sit and have a conversation with his potential match, as it felt like betraying Gia. So instead, he and Danny hid in the bathrooms. Scott left the second he could and didn’t have any contact with her again, but the same couldn’t be said for Gia.
Did Gia see James after ending things with Scott on MAFS Australia?
On MAFS Australia After The Dinner Party, Scott was on the sofa with James, when the alternative match decided to reveal Gia had contacted him after she left the show.
James admitted that Gia actually called him three times after ending things with Scott. Something which left her groom quite shocked.
James revealed: “She was flirtatious, straight away.”
But it seems the phone calls weren’t the only thing Gia was doing to get James’ attention. She actually started sending him bikini pictures.
He said: “The texts were flirty. The conversations afterwards were flirty. They weren’t flirty immediately. But look, if it was my missus, I would be very upset. It’s not behaviour that I tolerate or want.”
James did admit that he didn’t know Gia and Scott were still in the experiment when the phone calls took place.
Scott admitted: “It’s ridiculous. I have never met someone so bad like this. I didn’t know this happened, I didn’t know she called him. I’m so frustrated because I put so much time and effort into someone who is calling me a showmance. But she needs to take a look at herself. She will never take accountability for her own actions.”
What has Gia said about her exchanges with James?
After avoiding appearing on the After The Dinner Party show for the entirety of MAFS Australia, Gia finally made an appearance. And she was grilled about everything.
Speaking about her flirty behaviour with James, Gia confirmed she called him on Instagram.
She explained: “I was trying to soften the blow and act like it wasn’t as bad as it was. But watching it back, yeah it was pretty bad.”
When asked why she flirted with him, she explained she “liked the attention”. But insisted that she did not see him in person.
After blocking him to focus on Scott, Gia later unblocked James as he gave her “good advice”.
With only days remaining of the show, it’s clear Scott and Gia are crumbling. And with her recently covering up their matching tattoo, it’s definitely not looking good.
