I'm A Celebrity fans fear for presenter Ant McPartlin as he loses his voice live on air
Ant is the third I'm A Celebrity star to be struck down this seriesI’m A Celebrity viewers have shared their concerns for Ant McPartlin after he almost lost his voice during last night’s show.
Ant appears to be the latest star to be struck down with a painful throat while filming the ITV show.
Two other famous faces from spin-off show, Unpacked, have fallen ill too.
Ant was forced to apologise to fans on Sunday night while trying to host alongside Declan Donnelly.
After the first ad break, the Geordie host said with a croak: “Welcome back to I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here. Back to yesterday now when your votes meant that Lisa Riley was taking on the next trial, Mine of Misery.”
Dec slapped him on the back several times, saying: “Cough it up, son.” Snorting, Ant shot back: “Sympathetic or what?!”

In a second advert link, Ant added: “So much has happened in the last nine minutes since we spoke to you. And since I’ve got a sore throat, Dec, would you mind giving us all a recap?”
Dec proceeded to fill viewers in. But writing on X, fans were more concerned about Ant’s throat than the jungle antics.
One viewer commented: “Awww Ant sounds like he has a sore throat, someone get him some strepsils man!” Another added: “Ant, hope your voice is okay. Sending hugs!”
A third wrote: “Aww poor Ant has lost his voice.” While someone else warned: “Hope you don’t give your sore throat to Dec, get well soon.”
Viewers have every reason to worry, as Ant is the third star to be struck down since this year’s I’m A Celebrity began.
Ant joins I’m A Celebrity stars in falling ill
During the first week of the 2025 series, Alison Hammond appeared as a panelist on spin-off show, I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked. But throughout the week, her voice noticeably became weaker and more hoarse.
Alison is now back in England. But she addressed her I’m A Celebrity illness to co-star Dermot O’Leary on This Morning last week. She said: “Do you know what? I wasn’t actually very well, I don’t know if you can hear, it’s still there?”
Alison added: “I got something on the plane, I don’t know, there was an eye infection!”
Former Queen of Jungle, Jill Scott, also appeared to be suffering. The former Lioness was on last week’s I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked and was clearly struggling with her throat, too.
While speaking to hosts Joel Dommett and Kemi Rodgers, Jill struggled on with an obvious, painful sounding croak.
Meanwhile, another I’m A Celebrity campmate will be eliminated from the jungle tonight. Alex Scott and Eddie Kadi have already be evicted following the public vote.
There are 10 campmates remaining and they are all at risk. The celebrities still in the jungle include Ruby Wax, Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook, Jack Osbourne and Shona McGarty. Aitch, Angry Ginge, Vogue Williams, Tom Read Wilson and Lisa Riley.

Who will be next to go? They’d better stay away from Ant, whoever it is!
