I'm A Celebrity: Ex-contestant Jake Quickenden reveals why watching the show makes him 'mad'
"I just loved every second of it"
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2014 contestant Jake Quickenden gets “mad” watching the show nowadays.
Over a decade since he camped in the Australian rainforest alongside the likes of Edwina Currie and Jimmy Bullard, the 37-year-old spoke to This Morning pair Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about his experience today (November 26).
According to him, Jake feels like he could handle a second taste of jungle action.

I’m A Celebrity makes ex-star feel “mad”
After his 2014 highlights played on screen, Cat Deeley asked Jake: “When you watch it, do you get FOMO [fear of missing out]?”
“Yeah, every time,” he star answered. “It actually makes me mad watching it, because I wish I could go back in. I’d love to.
“I was, like, fresh out of The X Factor. So I just went in there a totally scared young lad and then I just loved every second of it.”
One of Jake’s “best moments” from his I’m A Celebrity stint was when “legend” Edwina fell asleep ridiculously quick on their first night in camp.
“I flew in with her in a helicopter,” Jake remembered. “She was fast asleep on the first night after about 20 seconds and I sat up all night terrified. She was out, and I was just like, ‘This woman is a different breed’. Not bothered at all!”

Did Jake Quickenden win I’m A Celebrity?
Jake, who competed in Dancing on Ice in 2018, ultimately finished as the I’m A Celebrity runner-up. He was beaten to the jungle crown by World Superbike racer Carl Fogarty. There’s no shame in that!
Interestingly, the ex-campmate once told Metro that he never got his special bridge moment after he’d left camp. “I didn’t even get to walk across the bridge, I remember rocking up and my mum was there, and it was a bit of an anti-climax because I never got to do the bridge,” he shared.
“It was all a bit of a blur for me,” Jake caveated. “I was really excited to be there no matter where I finished, so the fact that I got to the final and ended up finishing second was just amazing. But all I can remember is the day before [going in] we got some food, and I ate far too much and felt sick for 24 hours because I ate everything in sight.”
This comes as I’m A Celebrity fans have officially turned on 2025 star Shona McGarty. She’s been letting Kelly Brook do all the water duty.
“Shona sleeping when she’s meant to be doing the water!” one viewer wrote on X. “I know I often wondered what her job was. Thought she’d gone back to ruining the food. Well Aitch is leader he’s going to have to tell her. She’s lazy,” ranted another.
