I’m A Celebrity fans are chomping at the bit to find out when the new South Africa series starts.

ITV has recorded two new trailers for the upcoming All Stars spin-off and they have whipped viewers into a frenzy.

Hosts Ant and Dec feature in the first advert and they are shown sat around a campfire in the South African wilderness.

They are also shown in similar scenes in the second trailer, which will land on screen this week.

This year’s show will once-again feature a host of popular I’m A Celebrity alumni. And they all have one goal; being crowned the latest I’m A Celebrity Legend.

So when does it start? Here’s what we know.

I’m A Celebrity South Africa 2026 trailers

Britain’s Got Talent fans were given a real treat on the weekend when a new I’m A Celebrity trailer dropped in an advert break.

Ant and Dec are in the dark and enjoying a hot drink around a campfire when they hear a loud roar. Startled, Ant asks: “What was that?!”

Dec calmly points off into the distance and tells his pal: “It was just a big cat.” Jumping to his feet, Ant replies: “A big cat? No way!”

Ant then runs away, while Dec decides not to hang around and follows him.

The Geordie duo have also shot a second trailer for the new series. Again, they’re sat around the campfire when Ant yawns and says: “Night, night.”

Dec warns: “Don’t let the bed bugs bite. Or the ticks and the mozzies. And the scorpions, and the sand spiders and the Kudus or the baboon…”

This will air in between shows on ITV this week.

Fans have now really been sent into a spin, especially after the first trailer was shared on ITV’s Instagram. And they all have one plea to ITV, which is to know when I’m A Celebrity South Africa starts.

Commenting, one follower begged: “Yay can’t wait. @itv just give us a date already been looking forward to this.”

Another added: “Can’t wait guys, when?” And a third simply pleaded: “WHEN!!!

Who is taking part?

I’m A Celebrity South Africa has already been filmed, so we’ve got a good idea of the line-up already. ITV is yet to confirm the exact names but there are 12 rumoured campmates in the running.

They include show favourites Beverley Callard, Jimmy Bullard and Scarlett Moffatt. Other names that have been thrown into the mix include Adam Thomas, Ashley Roberts and Craig Charles.

I'm A Celebrity South Africa 2026: All the rumoured campmates

I'm A Celebrity South Africa 2026 will be on our screens before you know it - and here are all the rumoured names.

There are 12 former I'm A Celeb contestants thought to be appearing in the show, which was pre-recorded last autumn.

They've all be in the jungle before and are hoping to be crowned this year's Legend.

The rumoured South Africa campmates are:

  • Beverley Callard
  • Jimmy Bullard
  • Scarlett Moffatt
  • Sinitta
  • Sir Mo Farah
  • Gemma Collins
  • Harry Redknapp
  • Adam Thomas
  • David Haye
  • Ashley Roberts
  • Seann Walsh
  • Craig Charles

This year, the Legend will be announced live in London. In a switch-up, viewers will be able to vote for their favourite campmate out of the two celebs who made it to the final in South Africa.

Things will be a bit different this year. Although the series is pre-recorded, the final will air live from London. This means viewers are actually able to vote for their 2026 Legend, rather than let the campmates battle it out in a head-to-head final challenge.

There will be two campmates left to choose from by the time the recorded episodes have played out on ITV. This means they are both still yet to find out if they have won, too. How exciting!

When does I’m A Celebrity South Africa start?

ITV has confirmed that I’m A Celebrity South Africa will start this spring. At the moment, however, they are holding back on an exact date and say the series is “coming soon”.

The first and only series so far, which fans dubbed I’m A Celebrity All Stars, aired in 2023. Former Hear-Say singer and IAC 2006 alumni Myleene Klass won. She had ended up in the final with Jordon Banjo and won a last eating challenge.

The start date was Monday April 24, 2023 and it ran until Friday May 12. If things follow the same scheduling pattern, this year’s I’m A Celebrity South Africa could start on Monday April 27, 2026, with the final being on Friday May 15.

We’ve combed through the Britain’s Got Talent schedule – ITV’s other primetime juggernaut – and there is definitely space for it to slot in around it.

There’s still a bit of a wait, though. Boo!
