The Traitors‘ Rachel Duffy has vowed to sniff out this year’s Secret Traitor – but who is she?

Rachel has been selected by Claudia Winkleman as one of four Traitors in Ardross Castle and it is a role she was desperate for.

But after bagging the job, she was shocked to discover the identity of one of her fellow Traitors is being kept a secret.

Both she and fellow Traitors, Hugo and Stephen, were seriously miffed to learn the Secret Traitor is ultimately in control.

Rachel has since warned: “I want the control back and am going to do everything in my power to hunt that Secret Traitor down.”

As we wait to see exactly how Rachel is going to do this, here’s a look at exactly who she is, how many children she has and where she works.

The Traitors: Who is Rachel Duffy?

Rachel is 42 years old and she is from County Down in Northern Ireland. She is a keen game-player and says she has played the party game Mafia for the last 15 years.

Mafia is very similar to The Traitors, as the ‘innocents’ have to sniff out hidden members of the ‘mafia’. But in this instance, Rachel is part of the mafia!

Rachel says her mates compare her to Monica from Friends. From what we’ve seen, she’s shaping up to be far more ruthless than Monica!

How many children does Rachel have?

Rachel has three children. She has two sons and a daughter. Their names are Caden, Brodie and Isabelle.

As she arrived at Ardross Castle, Rachel insisted that being a mum-of-three will help her in The Traitors. She said: “I have three kids, I know how to negotiate.”

When did Rachel marry her husband Sean?

Rachel married her husband Sean in July 2013. The couple had a traditional church wedding followed by a reception surrounded by all their family and friends.

Rachel’s husband Sean is not on social media. She has, however, marked their anniversaries with gorgeous photos of their wedding day.

One picture shows Rachel walking down the aisle with her father, who has since sadly died. Her dad appears to be wiping a tear away while giving his daughter away on her special day.

Alongside the Instagram photo, Rachel wrote: “Today would have been daddy’s 70th birthday.

“Days like this can go one of two ways but instead of feeling sorry for myself, I’m feeling extremely grateful for having the funniest and kindest dad for so many years. Some people aren’t that lucky.”

Where does Rachel work?

Rachel works as head of marketing and communications for Clanrye Group. Based in Newry, Northern Ireland, the Clanrye Group is a community organisation and registered charity.

The group offers programmes focused on training and qualifications, employment and health wellbeing to the local community. Rachel has worked for the organisation since 2007 and is described as a “key member” of the team.

A bio on the Clanrye Group’s website says she works by “helping to facilitate overseas youth programmes, managing community family support services and now, leading the communication efforts of the organisation to help reach communities who would most benefit from the services and programmes available”.

Rachel states on her professional LinkedIn that she provides communications support to a team of more than 100.

In the first episode of The Traitors, Rachel said her job will also help her on the show. “I have a tendency to know what the right thing is to say and hot to get what I want,” she admitted.

But to the rest of the players, she will be holding back what she does. Rachel has also said: “I’m going to say that I work in Marketing, which is true, but it’s leaving out the fact that I do strategic communications across Northern Ireland on a daily basis.

“I don’t want them to know that speaking to people and getting my point across is very easy for me.” Sneaky!

Sharing a clip of the moment on Instagram, she said: “I had THEE best time celebrating with family and friends last night and couldn’t have asked for a better reaction to that tap on the shoulder from @claudiawinkle. I am so excited to be a TRAITOR.”
