ITV's Look Into My Eyes uncovers chilling case of three teens who died after their school principal hypnotised them
Just a coincidence or something more sinister?Look Into My Eyes is a chilling new crime documentary about a head teacher who practiced hypnosis on his pupils – before three of them died suddenly.
Dr George Kenney was a once beloved high school principal in Florida, adored by all of his students.
But in 2011, everything began to unravel.
Dr Kenney had been on a hypnosis course two years earlier and had been using what he’d learned to ‘help’ pupils.
But suddenly, all within weeks of each other, three of these teenagers were dead.
Look Into My Eyes will explore the bizarre true story and feature firsthand interviews with family members and eyewitnesses.
It will also unpack exactly what happened to Dr Kenney. Viewers will even hear from the man himself.

Look Into My Eyes on ITV: Who is Dr George Kenney
Fifteen years ago, Dr Kenney was the principal of North Port High School in the city of North Port in Florida. He’d been on a hypnosis five-day course in 2009 and began offering his services to students.
Dr Kenney is said to have hypnotised more than 70 people, despite not actually having an official license to practice therapeutic hypnosis.
Viewers of Look Into My Eyes will learn how Dr Kenney told students he could help with exam anxiety, trouble focusing and improving athletic performance. Parents of participants had to sign permission slips and the sessions were all filmed.
The documentary will hear from past students. Some will say the hypnosis worked, claiming they noticed an improvement in both their academic and sporting performances.
But two years in and Dr Kenney found all eyes were on him. Three pupils died within a matter of weeks and all had received hypnotherapy sessions at his hands…
Who died after Dr Kenney’s hypnotism sessions?
Two 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old girl all died within three months of each other in 2011. At the time of there deaths, all three were seeing Dr Kenney for sessions.
Marcus Freeman, 16, died in a car crash. Welsey McKinley, 16, and 17-year-old Brittany Palumbo, 17, both died from suicide.
Dr Kenney soon found himself in the spotlight. Investigators began looking at whether there was a connection between the three teens’ deaths and their hypnotherapy sessions.
But establishing a link proved impossible and Dr Kenney was not held responsible.
However, investigators did determine he had been providing therapeutic hypnosis without the required professional licence. Dr Kenney received probation and community service for this.
The victims’ families, who appear in Look Into My Eyes, were not satisfied. They later filed wrongful death lawsuits against the school board. The board settled each case at $200,000 (£148,000) without admitting liability.

Look Into My Eyes will not be airing on ITV’s terrestrial channels, but instead will be added to its streaming library. This means you can watch it for free on ITVX.
