Jodie Ramsay turned on the waterworks tonight in Coronation Street (Thursday, January 22) and spun Shona a right tale to pull on her heartstrings.

After attending a domestic abuse survivors’ support group, Jodie sobbed during an emotional chat with her sister.

During the conversation, she told Shona all about her abusive past. But, this story wasn’t actually her own but was the story of abuse survivor Ellie instead…

Jodie twisted the truth in Coronation Street

A troubling chain of events was set in motion when Shona crossed paths with Kit. It was revealed that Jodie had first been encountered on the night of the crash, bound and fleeing from a van. The conversation was overheard by Jodie, after which a domestic abuse support group was attended, following Shona’s suggestion that past experiences should be discussed in a safe space.

Later, Jodie was locked out of the house and was found distressed by Bethany. Shona then rushed home from the hospital to offer comfort. An emotional confession was then delivered. An abusive relationship, a pregnancy and a violent attempt to escape were described, with the van driver from the crash identified as the perpetrator.

However, it was eventually revealed that the account had not been lived by Jodie at all. The story had been taken from another woman at the support group, Ellie, and presented as her own. As sympathy was gained, questions were raised by viewers. What Jodie is concealing and what truly occurred in her past?

Coronation Street spoilers confirm Jodie’s connection with another soap villain

Jodie might’ve had a haunting past involving Emmerdale’s Graham Foster, but she’s not one to shy away from danger.

In Coronation Street spoilers for the rest of the week, she’s immediately drawn towards local Weatherfield bad boy, Carl Webster.

At Roy’s Rolls, Jodie lends a hand and lays the charm on thick – particularly where Carl’s concerned, much to Abi’s annoyance. A pointed warning soon follows.

Elsewhere, Shona admits to David that she’s considering digging into the past by tracking down their father. She hopes it might finally shed some light on Jodie’s behaviour. With mixed signals and unanswered questions piling up, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Jodie’s past isn’t quite as straightforward as she’s making out…

I'm A Celebrity, Celebrity Sabotage and The Accidental Tourist: Entertainment shows to watch on ITV this autumn

Summer isn't over yet but ITV has revealed all its entertainment shows for this autumn - and you won't want to leave the house!

The channel has unveiled its jam-packed schedule and it is packed with shows you can stream for free.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! tops the bill, but there are some fun new programmes to keep you entertained as the nights draw in, too.

Expect to see many of your favourite celebs on screen too, including Ant and Dec, Stephen Mulhern, GK Barry and Judi Love.

Here's our pick of the best shows to get stuck into this autumn on ITV.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!

Ant and Dec will be back in Australia this autumn with a brand new cast of celebrities. The line-up is yet to be revealed, but rumoured names include England footballer Jack Grealish and Jamie Oliver's wife Jools.

The celebs will kiss goodbye to their lives of luxury and spend three weeks in the Australian jungle.  Geordie duo Ant and Dec will of course be overseeing all the drama in camp.

Expect a usual helping of rice and beans, scary critters and hair-raising Bushtucker Trials. And of course, the return of Celebrity Cyclone at the end of the series.

Last year, McFly star Danny Jones was crowned King of the Jungle. He made it to the final alongside eventual runner-up Coleen Rooney.

The Accidental Tourist

The Accidental Tourist is a brand new entertainment show for ITV this autumn. It is is a described as being a "travel format", but it definitely has a twist.

Catchphrase and Deal or No Deal host Stephen Mulhern isn't a fan of travelling to exotic locations. He doesn't like trying new food and feeling out of his comfort zone. But all that is about to change.

Stephen's good pals Ant and Dec will be whisking him off to Asia to really push him to his limits. Watching him from afar, the I'm A Celeb hosts will be setting Stephen "mischievous challenges" in a bid to help him change his ways.

ITV says: "These mean that Stephen will encounter epic locations, exotic cultures and cuisines, incredible people and places, and exciting activities he would never have chosen for himself."

The question is, will Stephen embark on a journey of self-discovery and return a changed man? Or will he be packing his bags and heading off to Benidorm for his next holiday?

We're excited to find out!

Celebrity Sabotage

Another brand new show coming to ITV this autumn is Celebrity Sabotage. It's giving us 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Out Of My Ear' vibes from Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway!

Billed as a reality game show, Joel Dommett, Judi Love, Sam Thompson and GK Barry are the saboteurs in this programme. Each week, they will also be joined by another celebrity as their guest saboteur. Names include Lion's champ Jill Scott MBE and actress Fay Ripley.

Each episode sees a brand new team of unsuspecting contestants who believe they are there to take part in an ITV game show. The trouble is, the show is completely fictitious - and they don't know it!

Instead, the gang of naughty celebs will be setting the agenda and making the contestants take part in everything from cooking challenges to relationship tests and even business tasks and murder mystery games. Hiding away in their own 'high-tech mission HQ', the celebs will be doing all they can to sabotage the contestants' efforts. This includes using props and disguises...

It is a big operation and ITV has pulled out all the stops to fool the players. The hosts of their 'game shows' will be entirely convincing, with Clare Balding, Matt and Emma Willis, Monica Galetti, Jason Fox, Sara Davies and Rylan Clark all in on the act.

The good news is, the red-faced contestants could walk away with a big cash prize. If the saboteurs are successful with their cunning stunts, they will win money for their victims to share among them.

The Great Escapers

This new show looks great fun, although the celebrity line-up has not yet been released. The Great Escapers will see some of the nation's most recognised TV faces go on holiday with each other.

The stars will be from Coronation Street, Loose Women, The Chase and I'm A Celebrity and, although they've worked with each other before, this is their first trip abroad together.

After checking into their hotel, each episode will see three stars attempt to give their colleagues the best holiday they can. In destinations including Greece, Spain, Portugal and Malta, they will choose the activities in a bid to provide "the most memorable day". The winner will be crowned The Greatest Escaper.

But will one person's dream holiday turn out to be their colleague's worst nightmare?! There's bound to be a few fallouts and grumbles along the way...

Cooking with the Stars

Cooking with the Stars is returning for a fifth series this autumn on ITV. Emma Willis and Tom Allen will be back to host the show and there is a brand new line-up of celebrities taking part.

Hoping to whip up a storm in the kitchen is EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy, actor and comedian Hugh Dennis, radio presenter Jordan North and interiors expert Kelly Hoppen. Love Island's Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, reality star Jessica Wright, football legend Shaun Wright-Phillips and TV personality Jack Osbourne complete the list.

The series, which was filmed before the tragic death of Jack's rock star dad Ozzy Osbourne, will see the stars go head to head in the kitchen. They will all be attempting to go from amateur cooks to restaurant-level chefs.

Who will have what it takes?

You Bet! On Tour

You Bet! is returning to ITV follow the success of its reboot last year - and this series promises to be bigger and better than ever. For 2025, the show is hitting the road for You Bet! On Tour.

Host Stephen Mulhern will be joined by a a slew of celebrities at various locations across the UK for more mind-blowing feats. Expect to see stars including Holly Willoughby, Zoe Ball, Rob Beckett, Alex Brooker and Rylan Clark on the panel.

Alesha Dixon, Alison Hammond, Babatunde Aléshé, Josie Gibson and Danny Jones will also take part in the iconic game show.

The celebrities have to guess whether each dare-devil participant can complete their challenge. There's a £5,000 prize at stake and the chance for one celeb to be crowned that week's You Bet! champion.

ITV has confirmed this autumn's bumper run also includes a Christmas special. We're feeling festive already!

The 1% Club Rollover

The 1% Club is back this autumn on ITV...but not in its current form. The hit quiz show will be making a hugely anticipated return but with a slightly different format.

Airing across a consecutive five-day period, the prize pot will roll over to the next day if it's not won. This means there could be a whopping £500,000 up for grabs by the end of the week!

But that's not all. An ITV spokesperson explains: "The Rollover has another rule - anyone who gets as far as the 1% question automatically comes back to compete again.

"This means that if someone wins big on one show, they get to come back for the next day's show where they could potentially win the Prize Pot again and, in effect, double (or even treble or quadruple) their winnings."

This all sounds very edge of your seat viewing! The 1% Club Rollover will be hosted, of course, by Lee Mack.

Bullseye

Hot on the heels of fellow classic reboot You Bet!, Bullseye is also returning for a full series and Christmas special. Last December, the darts-based game show returned for the first time in 30 years - and it was welcomed with open arms.

Freddie Flintoff, who is a self-confessed darts fan, hosted the one-off festive episode and more than 8.6million viewers tuned in. As a result, we can now look forward to more. Yippee!

Freddie will be back to present the 2025 series and Christmas special and it will continue to follow the original format. Teams will be made of one amateur dart player, known as The Thrower, and their brainbox partner, aka The Knower.

Let's hope they have some great Bully's special prizes. Speedboat anyone? Take it back, boys!

What else is coming up on ITV this autumn?

Believe it or not, that's not all when it comes to entertainment shows on ITV this autumn. There are also plenty of other shows to snuggle down in front of as the weather begins to turn.

Romesh Ranganathan’s Parents’ Evening is returning for a second series, with more celeb contestants hoping to win cash for their charities. Romesh's mum Shanthi will also be back to keep score.

Big Brother will return to screens with a brand new civilian series, while Dress The Nation kicks off again for a second series.

If quizzes are your thing, ITV is launching a brand new one called Win Win with Peoples's Postcode Lottery. It is being tipped as the UK's "most interactive quiz show ever aired" and one contestant will win £1million.

The red carpet will also be out in force this autumn. ITV will be airing both this year's National Television Awards and Pride Of Britain 2025.

Didn't we say you wouldn't want to leave the house?!
