Katie and Peter's relationship was all ups and downs
Peter Andre and Katie Price’s turbulent marriage is back in the spotlight following the drop of Sky documentary Katie Price: Nothing To Hide.
In the series, which details the rollercoaster ride that is Katie Price’s high-profile life, much of Katie’s romantic history is rehashed.
Including, probably her most talked about relationship – her marriage to Peter Andre.
During episode three of the series, Katie dishes all the dirt on why she and Peter actually called it quits. She explains that Peter had fired allegations of an affair – with her dressage rider Andrew Gould – at her. Something which Pricey vehemently denies.

Katie and Pete’s marriage
Katie Price and Peter Andre met in the I’m A Celebrity… jungle in early 2004. They welcomed son Junior in June 2005, before tying the knot at Highclere Castle on September 10 2005. They later had daughter Princess in June 2007.
By September 2008, Katie and Peter had renewed their vows. Sadly, the following year, in May 2009, their separation was announced and their divorce was finalised in September 2009.
Speaking about their split at the time, Peter previously threw out claims that implied infidelity on Katie’s side.
Peter Andre’s claims that Katie Price had an affair with Andrew Gould
He reportedly said: “Something big happened, which I won’t reveal as I don’t want my kids reading it. Katie knows 100% the reason why I left her and I am 100% sure that what happened definitely did happen.”
As discussed in episode 3 of Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, Peter had accused Katie of having an affair with Andrew Gould, who was also married.
Katie has continued to deny these claims. Andrew and his then-wife Polly also previously hit back at the allegations back in 2009.
Katie sat down with Andrew and Polly for a magazine chat shortly after splitting from Peter.
The fiery argument over McDonalds that left Peter Andre fuming at Katie Price
She told OK! magazine how a big argument over a McDonalds caused Peter to threaten Andrew and how a night out with friends led Peter to think Katie was cheating on him.
Katie explained: “I said Pete would go mad if he knew I was out with Andrew because he had a problem with him, but everyone was saying ‘Don’t be silly, you’re a grown woman, he’s here with Polly’. I was pictured on the front page with a ‘mystery man’ but the guy was gay and someone Pete had met before.
“But straight away I felt sick. I wanted to get out of the house and avoid a confrontation with Pete because I knew he’d be angry. On the way to Andrew’s stables I was hyperventilating.”
She went on to detail how Peter had found a McDonalds receipt in her car which he questioned her over. A meal Katie had enjoyed with Andrew and Polly.
In the joint interview, Andrew told the magazine: “She put him on loudspeaker and he said: ‘If I see him I will knock him out.’ I suddenly thought, God he really doesn’t like me. He was yelling: ‘So you were driving along having a McDonald’s playing the happily married couple together.'”
This isn’t the first time Katie has acknowledged claims about her supposed relationship with Andrew.

Speaking on Paul C Brunson’s podcast, We Need To Talk, Katie previously shared: “We broke up because he thought I was having an affair with my dressage rider, and I’ve never slept with him. I just kept my horse there, and I was happy keeping my horse there, and he was married.
“But when me and Pete split, because he used to keep saying: ‘That’s it. I’ve had enough. I’ve had enough.’ It got to a point where I went: ‘Well [bleep]ing divorce me.’ And I remember the day, because then I flew to the Maldives with the kids.
“That day, I’m at the airport, it’s all on Sky News, it wasn’t mutual at all. And then I redone a statement saying I don’t want to split with Pete, it’s Pete that’s splitting with me. Until this day, me and Pete have never sat down and spoken about it. It’s all through lawyers. I’ve never sat down with him, we probably would’ve sorted it out but we were kept apart.”

Peter chose not to appear in the documentary. Instead he answered with a statement, which appeared during the doc.
He said: “I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess. Today Katie and I maintain an amicable relationship in the interests of our children. I sincerely wish her happiness and peace for the future.”
Despite the turbulence, it seems Katie looks back fondly on her relationship with Pete.
She says in the show: “By the end of it I was smitten with him. Meeting Pete and being with Pete were the best times of my life, without a doubt.”
