Katie Price‘s ex-husband Peter Andre doesn’t appear in her new Sky documentary – and here’s the reason why.

Katie Price: Nothing To Hide dropped today but Peter is noticeably absent from the long list of contributors.

A host of the former glamour model’s exes, friends and family all make appearances as Katie lays bare her life story for the cameras.

They include her first boyfriend Gary Bolingbroke, her pop star flings and even her ex-husband Alex Reid.

But Peter is nowhere to be seen. Here’s why he chose not to take part in the new four-part documentary series.

Why is Peter Andre not in Katie Price’s documentary?

Katie’s relationship and subsequent marriage to Peter Andre is first mentioned at the end of episode 2 of Katie Price: Nothing To Hide.

The documentary shows her falling for the Australian pop star during their time together on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2002. Fans know the couple went on to marry and have two children.

It also features footage of their lavish showbiz wedding alongside clips from Katie and Peter’s many reality shows. Peter’s agent, Claire Powell, is shown transforming the couple into the lucrative ‘Katie and Peter’ brand, earning them millions.

However, at the start of episode 3, Katie is asked whether she thinks Peter – who she split with in 2009 – will be happy to tell his side of their story.

Katie says to the producer: “I would love you to interview Pete. What I would love to do is sit next to him and just reminisce about all of it.”

The star, 48, is asked: “What are the chances?” Katie flatly replies: “The chances are zero.”

The scene comes after Katie’s first boyfriend Gary has appeared in the documentary. Pop stars Dane Bowers and Gareth Gates had also given accounts of their romances with Katie.

‘I wish her happiness’

Peter, 53, issued a statement about his reason not to appear in Katie’s documentary.

He says he decided to give the cameras a swerve out of “respect” for his and Katie’s children, Junior, 21, and 19-year-old Princess.

Peter, who has since remarried, said: “I have chosen not to speak publicly about these matters out of love and respect for Junior and Princess.

“Today Katie and I maintain an amicable relationship in the interests of our children. I sincerely wish her happiness and peace for the future.”
