The former squeaky clean Pop Idol star found himself on the front of the tabloids following his fling with Katie.
In her new four-part series, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, they both spill the tea on their relationship in 2002.
Gareth denied it at the time given his tender age and innocent image to maintain in the music industry.
Katie, meanwhile, aged 23 and known to the nation as Page 3 girl Jordan, was fuming. In revenge, she sold a sordid kiss and tell about taking his virginity.
Almost 25 years later, Gareth says he still feels “betrayed” by Katie’s actions. But what’s he up to now, is he married and how old is he these days?!
Is Gareth Gates married?
Gareth was a baby-faced teenager when he found fame on ITV singing contest Pop Idol. He lost out to Will Young in the final but both their careers took off thanks to the show.
Gareth is now 41 years old.
Following his dalliance with Katie, Gareth began dating Suzanne Mole in late 2002. Suzanne was a dancer and they met at the Record of the Year Awards, where Gareth scooped a gong for his cover of Unchained Melody.
The pair fell for each other and it soon became serious. Gareth proposed to Suzanne on New Year’s Eve in 2007 and they were quick to say “I do”.
The couple married in July 2008 surrounded by family and friends. But it was top secret, with his rep saying at the time: “I can confirm Gareth got married yesterday but cannot give you any more details.”
In April 2009, Suzanne gave birth to their first child, Missy. Missy celebrated her 17th birthday earlier this year.
But in 2012, Gareth and Suzanne’s marriage hit the skids.
When did Gareth split with his wife Suzanne?
Gareth released a statement in October 2012 confirming he and Suzanne had separated.
He said at the time: “Despite our efforts over the past three years to make our marriage work, sadly Suzanne and I have decided to separate. Whilst we have grown apart, we love and cherish our wonderful daughter Missy and together we will prioritise her happy upbringing.”
The announcement came two weeks after Gareth was accused of cheating with his Legally Blonde co-star, Faye Brookes.

Ten months later, Gareth and Faye confirmed they were dating. The couple even got engaged in New York with a £30,000 ring.
Faye – who starred in Coronation Street – told OK! magazine at the time: “Gareth got down on one knee and said, ‘Will you spend the rest of your life with me?’ And of course I said yes straight away.”
But the marriage never came. The couple briefly split in 2018, reconciled and then broke up for good the following year.
Gareth is now in a relationship with musical theatre performer Allana Taylor. The couple were snapped kissing three weeks ago at Mighty Hoopla festival in South London.
